Dijin Natas - Future Shock part1 - Into Tomorrow
------------------------------------------------------------------------
This story is set directly after my other fan fiction "Sailormoon - Kingdom Come", and is basically an aftermath story. It (really) helps to have read "Sailormoon - Kingdom Come", before reading "Dijin Natas - Future Shock", but hey it’s your choice not mine.

The mist of the timestream billowed over Dijin’s body as he lay prone on the ground. He almost felt at peace laying there on the ground. The ground was soft, and pillowy to the touch, yet it had substance. As he continued to lay there he noticed the air was growing slowly colder. He decided that he could no longer just lay around so he forced himself to his feet. As he pushed himself up a sudden rush of pain swept over his body. He clutched at his sides in pain. Remnants of his fight with his mother, Queen Beryl, he though as he pushed at his armor. The fight had worn him out, and having to tackle Beryl off of the Tokyo Tower, and into Enigma’s time portal took even more out of him. Beryl didn’t give up even when she had already lost, and having to hold her while she released all that energy caused Dijin more pain then he had ever experienced.
"You will heal in time Dijin." A man said from behind Dijin. "But first I have something to show you."
Dijin’s pain had so preoccupied him that he hadn’t even noticed Enigma standing right behind him. Enigma stood still behind Dijin, what little of his face that could be seen under his hood was flat, and emotionless.
"What bout my mother, Queen Beryl? Where is she?" Dijin asked Enigma as he looked into his eyes.
Enigma’s eyes had always struck a deep seeded fear in his soul. The way they glowed that faint, unearthly green color, and always seemed so cold.
"Your mother is safe, I have personally seen to it." Enigma replied as he walked past Dijin. "Now please follow me." He said as he lent Dijin his hand which Dijin uncertainly took.
Enigma lead Dijin into the thick mist of the timestream, and as abruptly as he had arrived he vanished in a flash of light. The light was so intense, and bright that Dijin was forced to cover his eyes while Enigma continued to lead him on. As they continued on the light slowly began to dim until Dijin could once again open his eyes. The light faded until it was a dim flicker and the only sign that Enigma was there was the faint green glow of his eyes. Suddenly Enigma suddenly stopped without warning, and at the same time the light ceased leaving them in total darkness.
"Enigma, why did we stop?" Dijin asked quizzically as he looked up at Enigma who stood silently.
"Look Dijin." Enigma said as the faint glow of moonlight began to illuminate their surroundings. "Upon the future." He said then pointed to a ground of crystal spires in the distance surrounding a single enormous crystal spire. "Crystal Tokyo..."
The city was enormous, and it stretched for miles in a perfect circle. The crystal spires reached towards the heavens, seemingly challenging them. Even from the distant hills the city still had kept its splendor, and majesty.
"This is the future?" Dijin asked in awe as he stepped forward to get a better look at the city. "All our efforts, all our victories, and all our sacrifices where for this? I couldn’t imagine anything more perfect." He said as he watched the moonlight reflecting off of the main crystal spire.
"This is your reward for your sacrifice." Enigma said as he abruptly turned around, and began to walk away. "I will return for you soon, but first I must take care of some business. Goodbye, Dijin Natas.." He said quickly then vanished in a flash of light, leaving Dijin alone in the moonlight.
"I suppose I should go look around." Dijin said to himself as he kneeled down, and placed his hand on the soft green grass of the hill. Closing his eyes Dijin began to concentrate until a board of sand strong enough to support his weight was completely formed. Getting on his board, Dijin, looked back one last time then descended towards Crystal Tokyo.
Crystal Tokyo was alive, and flourishing with life. Everywhere Dijin looked he saw smiling faces, heard joyful laughter, and felt the contentness of the populous. The city itself was like a diamond jutting from the blackest stone. No matter where Dijin looked he saw some form of brilliant crystal. There were also many large spires of crystal that jutted out from around a single main spire of crystal that dwarfed the others. The main spire interested Dijin the most, so he swooped down to street level. As he landed on one of the streets he noticed the people began to vanish into their homes, and businesses save for a few people. One of the people, a brute looking young man, walked up to Dijin.
"No one wants to join your cause here, you abomination!" The man shouted angrily as he shoved Dijin off of his board. "Your mother ruined countless lives, and you’ll just do the same!"
"My only cause is to protect the innocent!" Dijin shouted at the man as he stood back up.
"No, you only want to ruin everything Neo Queen Serenity, has fought for!" The man said then he reached out and grabbed Dijin’s trench coat with both hands. "Not so tough when you’re not transformed, or when you’re not backed up by your goons?"
"I don’t need my powers to take care of someone like you." Dijin said quickly as he slipped out of his trench coat. "That why I have my hands and feet!" He shouted as he grabbed the man’s arm, flipped him, kneed him in the chest midair, and side kicked him in the head. "I’ll take that thank you." He said as he bent over, and grabbed his trench coat from under the unconscious man’s body. "Maybe next time you wont run your moth." He said angrily as he threw his trench coat back on, and started to walk away.
Ducking into a nearby alleyway, Dijin found what could be called the flaw in the diamond of a city. Garbage, and broken crystal lay scattered about. There were burn marks in the various spots on the walls making it look like a war zone. While Dijin stood dumb founded at this scene, two young woman in sera fuku walked up behind him.
"Shabon Spray!" A soft spoken female voice shouted then the entire alleyway was blanketed in a thick, cold fog. "Makoto, now."
"I’m on it!’ A rough female voiced shouted as Dijin stood still in the fog.
"Ami? Makato?" Dijin said as he turned in the direction of the voices. As he continued to search about he was suddenly bombarded by a barrage of punches which easily took him out in his disorientated state.
"You’re getting soft Dijin." The rough female voice said as she bent over, and picked up Dijin’s unconscious body. "Come on, Neo Queen Serenity will want to see him." She said as she turned and headed towards the main crystal spire with her friend.
