Beef Stew
STOVE
Simmer 90 min
Beef Stew Chunks
3 t Crushed Oregano (approx)
3 t Basil (approx)
1 to 2 T garlic (Lowry's is GREAT)
Water (approx 1/2 to 1 cup)
Flour (pinch) OPTIONAL
Cut beef chunks to bite size. Sprinkle with garlic, oregano, basil. Place in fry pan (large one), with a little bit of oil that just covers the bottom of the pan and fry the beef chunks.
Don't cook them all the way, cook until no longer red. Lower heat to simmer, add approximately 1/2 cup to 1 cup of water and sprinkle a little more of garlic in the fry pan. Stir and cover.
Time for 90 min. after placing on simmer. Served alone over rice or alone.
Tips:
Add a quartered potato to the meal at the start of cooking.
Add either fresh carrots or a small can of carrots (drained) at start of cooking.
Add a little flour (approx. 1 T) and your meal becomes beef stew with gravy. Can be served over noodles.
