Lasagna
OVEN
Bake 375 degrees for 25 min
1 lb Lasagna
1 1/2 lbs Ricotta Cheese
1 lb Mozzarella Cheese (non-fat is good)
1 lb ground beef
1 mild Italian Sausage
1 quart Spaghetti Sauce (Rague, Prego, Newman's)
4 TBL grated cheese
3 TBL Olive Oil (no substitutions)
Salt and Pepper to taste
Saute:
Meat in hot Olive Oil and chop into small pieces. Add Spaghetti sauce and cook approximately 20 minutes. Add seasoning to taste. (for example: onions, bell pepper, oregano, basil) No one will ever guess your sauce was from a prepared mixture.
Allow approximately 6 quarts of water to boil, then add 1 TBL of Olive Oil and 2 TBLL of salt.
Add raw Lasagna to water, a few strips at a time. Allow to cook 120 to 15 minutes. Drain and replace in pot, adding a small amount of water and a bit of oil so pasta does not stick together.
Using a Lasagna pan:
1) Spread sauce on bottom,
2) cover with one layer of cooked Lasagna.
3) Place layer of Ricota and Mozzarella cheese over Lasagna.
4) Add sauce.
5) Repeat process.
Cover with another Lasagna Pan or use foil.
Bake for 20 minutes at 375 degrees. Remove Cover and bake for another 5 minutes.
EVERYONE WILL WANT SECONDS, I GUARANTEE IT!
