NEWZ!!!!

  • 8.9.00: FINALLY!!! some NEWS!!! BSB is going to be in a promontional thingie for Burger King, starting on Aug 28th...there will be 4 mini CDs, each featuring BSBs new single, "It's True". There will also be a video too, so be sure to get them all!!!!
  • 6-12:Everyone, get your Teen Peoples!! BSB is on the cover!!!
  • Right now, BSB is said to be in the Bahamas, writing and recoring songs for their new album, slated to come out later this year, around fall.
  • 5-3: Tomorrow, 5/4, BSB is going to premire their new video for "The One" on MTV, I believe either ON TRL, or RIGHT AFTER TRL. After the video, there will be an Ultrasound all about BSB...b sure not to miss it!!
  • Nick Carter has been recently named one of the 50 Most Beautiful People in People Magazine. Go PIck up an issue today ! Here's the article: Nick Carter, Singer He's the blond one, the cute one, the one with only slightly More Facial Stubble Than That "Sixth Sense" Kid. But Nick Carter, 20, the youngest of the five milky-voiced Backstreet Boys, has been retooling his sweet, towheaded looks of late. For one thing, there's the trio of freshly inked tattoos. The shark on his left arm "is a reflection of my personality," says Carter. "A shark can be very quiet; it can be very dangerous, it can be very sleek." Adorning his right arm is a Native American-style chain. "I wanted something tribal," he says. On his right shoulder is a musical note "because I'm a singer." Carter's other new alteration: the shearing of his golden locks, which he had worn longer and often parted down the center since age 10. "It was time to change," he says, "but I didn't know if people would be like,'Oh, I don't like him anymore because he doesn't have that long hair!'" He needn't have worried. If anything, Carter's more mature look only enhances his appeal, says L.A. stylist Rachel Zoe Rosenzweig, who works with the Boys. "He's growing into himself," she observes, "and he's just getting sexier." Carter says that the group's rigorous performances keep his 6'2" frame in dancing form. And although he's on the road about 200 days a year, he often returns to the Tampa area, where he was raised by his parents, Jane, 41, who oversees 12-year-old brother Aaron's singing career, and Robert, 47, a retired truck driver. Carter, who earned a GED because his work kept him from high school, shares his waterfront Florida home with a 19-year-old music-biz girlfriend he won't name--partly to protect her from jealous fans. "The screams for him are endless," says Carson Daly, host of MTV's "Total Request Live," where the Backstreet Boys and their videos bring out lovestruck legions. "His fans are very possessive." The fervor suits Carter just fine. "What guy couldn't say that he likes women being after him?" he asks. "I'm not going to lie. It's great!" Just call him the One Who's Having the Most Fun!
  • 4/9: Kane, a DJ for 93.3WFLZ Tampa Bay that Nike subed in for, recently said that they are going to re-air the night that nick was DJ..it will replay on April 28th, so be sure to listen !
  • 4/9: Today, I found out that Howie is going to be appearing in the WB series Roswell, a show about some aliens that want to find out who they really are. He is going to be an alien, and he will be appearing on the show's season finale, slated to show on May 15th, I believe. He might also have a recurring role on the show if they have another season.
  • 4/2: On Thursday, Mar.30th, Nick Carter was DJ for the night at Tampa Bay's 93.3 WFLZ. He was on from 7-11, and did many hilarious things, like going to a Victoria's Secret, calling Britney Spears(and justin timberlake answered the phone!), and calling people and telling them that he was NIck Carter, when they didn't believe him..you can go to 93.3's website to check out pics and more !

    • 3/10: Announced todayon my radio station 93.3 WFLZ Tampa Bay, I heard that Nick Carter and Brian Littrell of the Backstreet Boys are to being playing in a charity basketball game againt some of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and some of the 93.3 radio DJs...it's gonna be on Sunday 3/26 at the Sun Dome, in Tampa, FL..tickets are $9.33, and can be bought at the Dome.
    • Recently at the Juno awards, BSB picked up best selling foriegn or domestic album. AJ and Howie were there to accept the award on behalf of all the boys. Congrats you guys !
    • 2/28:The Nickolodeon Kids Choice Awards nominees were announced recently. BSB is up for Favorite Music Group, along with N Sync, 98 Degrees, and TLC. You can cast your vote at participating Burger King stores nationwide through March 12.
    • 2/16: Today, on MTV w. John Norris, the boys revealed that two of the members are engaged !! Brian Littrell and Kevin Richardson anounced today that they are engaged, Brian to Leighann Wallace, and Kevin to Kristin Willits...Brian has set a date, but is keeping it private, and Kevin has not yet set a date. Best of luck to our boys !!
    • 2/8: Source: MTV The Backstreet Boys are teaming up with legendary comic book editor/writer Stan Lee to create a new comic book and Web-based series detailing the music and super-hero adventures of the platinum-selling Orlando boy band. Lee and the Backstreet Boys' Nick Carter will serve as co-creators of The Backstreet Project, and a special edition comic book introducing the series will be available for sale at the group's concerts beginning on February 19 in Atlanta, Georgia. That comic book will establish the heroic premise for the Internet animated series, which will incorporate Flash technology and is due to launch on the Web this summer. A Flash version of the initial comic book will also be made available via Stan Lee Media's site www.stanleemedia.com. "I'm ecstatic to be involved with Stan Lee," Carter said in an announcement heralding "The Backstreet Project." "A comic book is something I've always wanted to do and we've finally made it happen." "The Web-isode series will be derived from 'The Backstreet Project,'" added Lee in a statement. "We will use comic book to introduce the super-hero story to fans, so those fans not yet connected to the internet cam share in the excitement that is created by the animated Web-isodes." Lee is best known as a seminal figure in the creation of some of Marvel Comics' most endearing characters, including Spider-Man and the Silver Surfer, to name just a few. As for the Backstreet Boys, the group is scheduled to launch the next leg of its North American tour with a two-night stand on February 11-12 at Bryce Jordan Center in State College, Pennsylvania. -- David Basham

    • The BSB won an award on the American Music Awards for Best Pop Duo or Group...WTG GUYS!!!
    • 1/5/00-It was just announced that BSB has been nominated for not just one, but FIVE Grammy awards !!!!! They were nominated for Record of the Year, Album of the Year, Pop Album of the Year, Song of the Year, and Pop Song of the Year. You can catch the show on Feb 23rd on CBS, but I'm not sure what time yet. Go can go to www.grammy.com for a complete listing of the nominees !
