March 12, 2017 -- Demi celebrated her retirement from the show ring by going all the way to the UK and showing at Crufts, the largest dog show in the world!! Demi finished her show career with a bang by going BEST BITCH (comparable to AKC's WB and BOS) under the Honorable David Cavill, who wrote in his critique of her: "A beautiful example of the breed with an excellent head and feminine expression. Excellent construction and moved very well."
Demi will retire to her pasture now to watch over her sheep and, hopefully, produce the next generation of star studded pups!!

December 18, 2016 -- Demi ended the year at the AKC National Championship where she was awarded an AWARD OF EXCELLENCE. This was the last show for Demi for 2016.
November 20, 2016 -- At the Ocala FL dog show supported entry, Demi was awarded another BEST OF BREED by the Honorable Judge William Stebbins.
October 29 & 30, 2016 -- At the Marietta, GA dog shows, Demi was awarded back to back BEST OF BREED wins under the Honorable Judges Charles Trotter & Houston Clark.
October 1 & 2, 2016 -- At the Ocala, FL dog shows, two more BEST OF BREED wins were awarded Demi under the Honorable Judges Sandra Walker and Alberto Berrios.
September 24, 2016 -- At the Deland, FL dog shows, Demi was awarded another BEST OF BREED by the Honorable Judge Bonnie Clarke.
July 28, 29, 30 & 31, 2016 -- At the Greenville, SC dog shows, Demi stepped back in the show ring and was awarded back to back to back to back BEST OF BREED wins under the Honorable Judges Camille Gagnon, Betty Regina Leininger, Ruth Zimmerman & Dr Robert Indeglia.

Demi will now take a break from showing to take up her livestock guardian duties until after lambing season is over.
February 04, 05, 06 & 07, 2016 -- At the show cluster held in Atlanta, GA, and hosted by Griffin GA Kennel Club, Sawnee MT Kennel Club, Conyers Kennel Club of GA, and Lawrenceville Kennel Club, Demi was awarded four more BEST OF BREED wins under the Honorable Judges Cindy Meyer, Margorie Martorella, Betty Regna Leininger and Robert Caswell. These wins leave her undefeated in her first eight shows for 2016!!!
January 30 & 31, 2016 -- Demi continued in this vein at the Charleston Kennel Club cluster held in Ladsen, SC, by taking back to back BEST OF BREED wins under the Honorable Judges Christine Anderson & Garry Newton. Four shows - four BOB wins!!
January 09 & 10, 2016 -- At the Clemson Kennel Club cluster held in Clemson, SC, Demi was awarded back to back BEST OF BREED wins under the Honorable Judges Audrey Lycan and Barbara Finch.
Demi started off 2016 with a bang!!

December 13, 2015: At the AKC/Eukanuba National Championship held in Orlando, FL,
Demi was awarded SELECT BITCH by the Honorable Judge Alberto Berrios
out of an entry of 15 Anatolians.

November 15, 2015: At the Greater Ocala Dog Club show held in Ocala, FL,
Demi was awarded BEST OF BREED by the Honorable Judge Cindy Stansell
over an entry of 14 Anatolians.
This win puts Demi in AKC's Top Ten Anatolians,
and makes her AKC's #4 Anatolian Bitch for 2015!!

in the time and hard work to make this happen.

NEW GRAND CHAMPION
October 24 & 25, 2015: AlaTurkay Anatolians is proud to announce another pup has joined the elite ranks of the Grand Champion Tier for AKC. At the Kennesaw KC show held in Marietta, GA, Demi was awarded back to back BEST OF BREED wins by the Honorable Judges Dr Steve Keating and Ronald Mahon for her last GCH points and a total of ten ranking points for ONLY TWO MONTHS (Jan & Oct) showing so far in 2015.
As icing on the cake, Dr Steve Keating awarded Demi a WORKING GROUP FOUR!! To say this is amazing is an understatement. She is definitely following in her daddy Moose's footsteps!!!

October 16-17-18, 2015:
At the three day Georgia Classic cluster in Atlanta, GA, Demi was awarded
BEST OF BREED wins under Honorable Judges James White and Catherine Cooper.
Judge White liked her enough to pull her in Group!
She was also awarded BEST OPPOSITE SEX under Honorable Judge Karen McFarlane.
With these three wins, Demi accrued another 5 GCH points and 4 ranking points,
bringing her very close to finishing her GCH!
As always, Demi was beautifully handled by Cheryl Mika.

ASDCA NATIONAL SPECIALTY SHOW WEEKEND
West Friendship, Maryland
October 8-9-10-11, 2015
On October 8th, 2015, at the ASDCA National Specialty show held in West Friendship, with a total entry of 45 Anatolians, Demi was awarded an AWARD OF MERIT from a lineup of 21 Anatolian Champions by the Honorable Judge Angela Porpora. Demi was wonderfully handled by Cheryl Mika at her first Nationals, and we are very proud of both of them.
On October 9th, 2015, at a Nationals Supported Entry, with a total entry of 37 Anatolians, held in conjunction with the Catonville Kennel Club show, Demi was awarded SELECT BITCH from a lineup of 21 Anatolian Champions, by the Honorable Judge Klaus Anselm. This win gives her 5 GCH points with a major win over Champions, for a total of 10 GCH points, 1 major, and 2 CH wins. Demi was, as always, professionally handled by Cheryl Mika.
On October 11th, 2015, at a Nationals Supported Entry, with a total entry of 26 Anatolians, held in conjunction with the National Capitol Kennel Club show, Demi was awarded SELECT BITCH from a lineup of 15 Anatolian Champions, by the Honorable Judge Joan Scott. This win gives her 5 GCH points with a major win over Champions, for a total of 15 GCH points, 2 majors, and 3 CH wins. Demi was, as always, beautifully handled by Cheryl Mika.

On October 1st, 2015, at the prestigious Morris & Essex Dog Show Extravaganza,
Demi was awarded BEST OF BREED by Honorable Judge Robert Stein, handled by Cheryl Mika.
The reason this show is so special is because it is only held EVERY FIVE YEARS,
and usually has the largest entry of any US show.

On August 17th, 2014, at her fourth dog show cluster held in Greensboro, NC,
hosted by the Carolina Kennel Club, 16mo Demi was awarded
WINNERS BITCH by Honorable Judge Carl Liepmann,
completing Demi's AKC Championship!!

On July 24th & 25th, 2014, at her third dog show cluster held in Greenville, SC,
hosted by the Piedmont & Greenville Kennel Clubs,
15mo old Demi was awarded WINNERS BITCH for BACK TO BACK MAJORS
by Honorable Judges Faye Strauss and Ronald Menaker.
These two wins bring her to 14 points with 4 majors. One point to go!!

On May 23rd & 24th, 2014, at her second dog show cluster held in Fletcher, NC,
hosted by the Henderson Kennel Club, 13 month old Demi was awarded
BEST OF WINNERS for BACK TO BACK MAJORS
by Honorable Judges Dr Michael Woods and Bobby Birdsong.
She also took BEST OF WINNERS on May 25th & 26th, making it four BOW in a row!!
