'DIAN!' Angel called over the noise as the other priestess waved and made her way over.
'You made it!' Dian stated wiping sweat off her forehead.
'I told you I would come.' Angel replied
'So, you come here to apply for a job huh?' the owner of the Tavern asked.
'That's right.' the other smiled.
'What do you want to be? A bar wench? A cabert dancer?' Dian inquired leading Angel into the back room away from the noise.
'Well, I would like to apply as a candle-light singer.'
Dian stopped and looked at Angel for quite a while then finally said:
'Like one of those women on a cruise ship?'
'Erm, yes... is there a problem?'
'Well sweets, not that there is anything wrong with that, but do you think that this might not be the place for love songs?'
'Please Dian, let me try?' Angel pleaded, putting on an ever sweet smile. 'Alright, but this might mean my butt.'
'Don't worry, I will make it worth your while.' the Heavenly body assured Dian.
That night, the tavern was packed. Everyone was there being entertained and the smell of alchol was warming up. AresAngel adjusted the thin white strap on her long dress, sticking a white rose just above below the left side of her neck.
'Ready Nighting Angel?' Dian stuck her head through the door.
'Yes I am. I am ready.'
'Good Luck.' Dian murmered closing the door.
Dian stepped upon the large stage and all of the tavern grew quiet.
'Okay guys and gals, I have yet again got a new employee. She is quite an angelic girl, so I guess you know who she is. Please make AresAngel feel welcome!'
Dian walked off-stage as the crowd cheered and all the lights went out. A blue light lit up the stage.
'Sing to me... just let out the song...'
Angel's voice echoed throughout the auditorium.
'With such a love... I can't... go wrong.'
Dian watched Angel anxiously.
'Now you saw you love me... well just to prove you do... You can sing to me... sing to me... let me know.' 'I want a sign... a symbol... in your faith in me...'
Angel's voice was well in tune, her notes were like those of a piano's, almost soothing. 'Gods, I hope she doesn't give my place a bad name.' she thought then the song ended, and to Dian and Angel's amazement, ALL the customers got out of their seats and cheered, some whistles of approval could be heard.
Dian went back on stage, grinning ear to ear to the crowd. The screams were defening.
'I guess you were right Angel... you really did make it worth my while.'
'Am I in?'
'Welcome to the Greecian Tavern!' Dian congratulated.
