“Nice shot JC! That wins the game for us.... Again!”
“Justin, don’t get cocky!” Chris said as he sat down on the concrete.
“See that’s why I gave up playing basket ball against those two a long time ago!” Lance said.
“Well that and the fact that you can’t play!” Justin said, sitting down.
“Oh, shut up!”
Just then Justin’s pager went off. “It’s my mom.” He said after looking at the number on the display. “Joey, can I use your phone?”
“Sure Curly. Here you go.” Joey tossed Justin his cell phone and the platinum blond punched in his phone number.
“Hello?” His mother picked up the phone.
“Hey Mom, you paged me?”
“Yeah, Justin, I need you to come home. I have something that I need to tell you.”
“Um, OK. I’ll leave now, we just finished anyway.”
“OK, I’ll see you in about ten minutes.”
“OK, love ya Mom.”
“Bye Justin, love you too.”
Justin hung up the cell and tossed it back at Joey. “Hey, guys, I gotta split. Mom has some news that they want to tell me, so I gotta go.”
“Well, we should probably go too.” JC and Chris got up and followed Justin to his car. They all lived at the Timberlakes, when they weren’t on tour.
“So... what do you think they want to tell you?” JC asked once they had pulled out of the parking lot.
“I’m not sure... but I really want to find out.”
“You think that they wanna tell you that you are going to have another younger sibling?”
“I hope not! Don’t get me wrong, I love my brothers.” Justin said, concentrating on the road. “Besides, I get the feeling that’s not what she is going to tell me.”
“Hey, maybe you have, like a long lost twin, or something and they just found out that they are living like a mile away, or something.”
“Chris I think you need to switch to decaf.” Justin said with a laugh.
“You never know!”
“Yeah, OK...”
Five minutes later they pulled into the driveway.
Once inside they found Justin’s mom sitting on the couch in the living room. “Uh-oh, this looks serious.” Chris said. “Is this a private thing, or a family moment?” He asked.
“It’s a family thing, you can stay, since you are going to find out about it sooner or later.” Lynn, Justin’s mother said. The three guys sat down around the room, Justin right next to him mom. “”Justin, honey, there is something that I need to tell you. There is not easy was to tell you this, so I’m just going to come out and say it.”
“What is it Mom? Am I going to have another brother of sister?”
Lynn looked at Justin, in shock. “Well, actually you already have another sibling.”
“Wha-?”
“You have a sister.”
“You are kidding, right?”
“Nope.”
“How old is she, when is her birthday?”
“Well, her birthday is January, 31.”
“That’s my birthday! How old is she?”
“18.”
“Wait a minute! That would make her my twin!”
“Exactly.”

“Justine!”
“Yes? I’m coming Paige!” Justine walked the stairs and towards the living room. This was by far the best house that she had been in.
At 18 years old, and in the last two weeks of her senior year, Justine Renae Timberlake had lived in at least five different houses in the past 10 years. She had lived with Paige Johnston for the past 2 ½ years, in Tampa Bay. She loved it there, but she wasn’t born there. She was born in Memphis, Tennessee.
She walked down the hall and looked a picture on one of the bookshelves that lined the entryway. She smiled. It was a picture of Justin Tmberlake, from the music group N SYNC. When the group had first come out all of Justine’s friends had made a big deal about her having the same last name as him. The fact that their first name was so close to his was an issue also. So when she had seen a picture of him in a magazine, Paige had cut it out and framed it. It had sat in the same place ever since.
Justine walked into the living room and saw Paige sitting on the couch. She sat down and looked at the woman. “What’s up Paige?” They had agreed that she should just call her by her first name, it was more comfortable.
“Well, I just got a call from the agency...” The adoption agency. What did they want? They couldn’t move her! She only had two more weeks of school and then she could live whereever she wanted to. Paige had offered to let her stay with her, it she wanted to. “.... They know who your parents are.”
Duh! Of course they know who her parents are! But would they tell her? NO! “Yeah?”
“Hold on a second.” Paige got up and walked into the hall, where Justine had just walked from. She can back a moment later, holding a picture frame. She walked over to Justine, handed her the picture, and then sat back down. “You see that guy?” Justine looked down at the picture. It was the picture of Justin.
“Yeah?”
“His birthday is January, 31, 1981...”
“That’s my birthday!”
“...Yeah I know. He’s from Memphis.”
“That’s strange...”
“Justine, how many people do you think have the last name Timberlake?”
“Not very many?”
“Exactly.”
“What does any of this have to do with why the agency called?”
“Justine, you are related to Mr. Justin Randell Timberlake.”
“I am?”
“Yeah, you are. In a very close way, actually.”
“What are you trying to say?”
“Well, you have the same parents.”
“That would make us brother and sister.”
“Yes, it would.”
“But if we have the same birthday ...that would make him my twin.”
“Exactly.”
