I called Hope and Destiny and told them not to come back. They were staying at Destiny’s house in the city.
So that’s how I first came to live in their house with them. I shared a room with BJ and we got along great. We would lock our room and talk for hours. We grew very thankful for that lock later on, but more about that later.
I knew that I couldn’t hide forever and what I knew was going to happen eventually did.
It was a month after the first incident and I am now 6 months pregnant. Every one in the house had become very protective.
I was sitting in the front room, waiting for Seth and Shane. They were coming to visit me and knew that I was going to be in the big house up on the hill.
I heard the bell ring and got up to answer it. I looked through the peep hole and screamed at what I saw.
It was him. He was out there, again.
My screaming brought everyone in the house into the room within a matter of seconds. "What’s wrong, Faith?" Nick asked, walking over to me and hugging me to him.
"He’s...He’s...He’s out there. It’s him," I finally managed to stutter.
"Okay, Kevin, why don’t you answer the door. I’ll take her in here with me." He guided me into the other room and we sat down on the couch. "It’s going to be okay. We aren’t going to let anything happen to you." Then he was quiet.
I could here the voices in the other room.
"Hello?" Kevin’s deep voice said.
"HI! I’m looking for my girlfriend. She is here with two of her friends and I was wondering if you have seen her lately. They are staying in the little house at the bottom of the hill. Her name is Faith."
"Yeah, I’ve met her and her friends. But I haven’t seen her lately."
"Okay Thanks...," His voice trailed off. "Wait aren’t you…."
‘Damn it Brian! Get outta there! He knows who you are!’
"You little punk! Where is she?"
"I have no idea what you are talking about."
"That’s a load of crap. You are one of the guys that came down to her house the last time I was here."
Aaron and Angel, who had been hiding behind BJ the whole time, ran into the room where Nick and I were.
They jumped up on the couch and buried their faces in my shoulder and lap. They were scared.
He was yelling.
"Where did those little brats go?" He must have pushed past Kevin, because the next thing I know, he’s standing in the archway. "Well, well, if it isn’t the little slut!"
"Shut up Jake and go the hell away." He looked at the twins and took a step towards them.
I got up and put myself between him and the twins. He had that evil look in his eyes.
He could do whatever he wanted to me but he wasn’t going to hurt them or anyone else in this room.
"Faith...," Brian started.
"NO, Brian!"
"Are they your's too?" Jake asked, gesturing towards the twins.
"No Jake, they aren’t mine. They are my friends and if you touch them you're gonna get kicked where the sun don’t shine." He looked at Nick, who was behind the twins, ready to make a run for it with them when the opportunity arose.
"They are your's! You and Blondie over there."
"Shut up and go to hell Jake."
"Faith why are you running away from me?" He asked, reaching out to touch me.
I shrunk back.
I didn’t want him to touch me. I didn’t want him in the same room as me. I didn’t want him in the same house as me. I didn’t want him in the same city as me. I didn’t want him in the same state that I was in. Hell, I didn’t want him in the same country that I was in.
"Because you are a lying, lowlife bastard! You don’t get the picture. LEAVE ME ALONE!" He turned around and he caught sight of BJ. He move towards her.
She stood there scared outta her mind. Even from behind I could tell that the evil look was in his eyes and he had that grin on his face. Right before he reached out to touch her I yelled, waking her from her frightened trance. "BJ, RUN!"
She did.
She took off up the stairs, with Leslie not far behind. Nick took this opportunity to get the twins into the kitchen and upstairs the back way. I found out later that BJ took all the kids into our room and locked the door.
Not that she needed to. He didn’t follow her upstairs. Instead he turned around to me. "Now what did you do that for, I wasn’t going to do anything."
"Yeah right, and how many times have I heard that before? Too many times, that’s how many. But you see, I’m not going to let you hurt any of my friends the way you’ve hurt me! I’m not going to sit here and watch you ruin her life like you’ve ruined mine! Because she is too young for that! I’m too young for this!
"No one should have to go through that! Not even me! But you know what? It’s better me then them! She has a bright future ahead of her and I’m not going to let you ruin that for her! They all have bright futures ahead of them and they don’t need you to ruin them because of me! It’s better me then them! I have been through it before and I can handle it!"
I was screaming at the top of my lungs and crying. Nick had come downstairs again. I knew that BJ and the kids could hear me upstairs. I knew that Angel would be crying and Aaron would be too.
"Faith...," This time it was Nick.
"No! I can’t hide any more I can’t live like that."
"Faith, way are you doing this? Why are you doing this to yourself?" AJ asked.
"Because I have to!" I screamed. All they could do was stand there and watch me and Jake.
They were afraid to breathe wrong for fear it would set him off and he would take it out on me.
"You are a little bitch!"
"Jake, just please, leave me alone."
"I’m sorry darlin’, but I can’t do that. You see I have a score to settle."
"Fine go ahead. See what I care. As long as you don’t hurt any of them." I looked at the guys. They were all just watching. I turned back to Jake. "You are the biggest ass hole I know, ever have known and ever will know. I hope you die and rot in hell!"
"You little prostitute," He slapped me.
"You touch her again and you’ll be sorry you were ever born." A booming voice said. Jake turned around and came face to face with Kevin, well sorta.
You see Kevin had a good 4 inches and his nickname, Mr. Body Beautiful, on Jake, yet Jake didn’t step down. "I’m not scared of you."
"But you are scared of us!" A new voice said from behind Kevin. Jake looked over Kevin’s shoulder and saw the only two guys he had ever been afraid of, Seth and Shane Morrison.
Well, needless to say, Jake got the beating of his life that day.
