As I looked for Hope I saw this really tall blond guy. He looked like one of the guys that Brian had sang with in Kentucky. Right behind him was the little boy that had sang with them, too. I started to look for Brian but before I could see him I saw Hope come charging at me. She almost knocked me down.
"I’m happy to see you too!"
She smiled at me. "Sorry, but I had so much adrenaline going from pushing people out of the way that I couldn't help it. So how are you?" she asked placing her hand on my stomach.
"Good. Haven't had any problems with Jake lately." Just then Hope noticed that I had brought Destiny with me. They went off to get Hope’s luggage and I made my way to the entrance to wait for them.
As I sat down I felt someone watching me. I turned around and saw that little boy smiling at me. I smiled back. I hoped my baby was as cute as he was. Somehow I knew that it was going to have bright green eyes, just like Jake. He was the baby's father. As I sat there and watched, the boy came towards me and sat down next to me.
I watched as, who what must have been his older brother, start looking for him. He was tall, blond and great looking. He looked almost exactly like Jake, except his eyes were blue. He looked worried. Then he finally spotted the boy sitting next to me and started to walk to where we were sitting.
"There you are Aaron! I've be looking all over for you. Come on, the other guys are waiting and Brian is getting restless." He grabbed Aaron's hand and then said to me. "Sorry, I hope he wasn't bothering you."
"No not at all." I smiled at Aaron. As his brother lead him over to where their luggage was Aaron turned around and looked at me one last time over his shoulder. 'Wait a minute', I thought, 'Did he say Brian?'
We went back to my house, I had gotten the house for the extra days that Hope was going to be here, maybe even longer.
We decided to load everything else up in the car and drive to Seaside that afternoon. It was only an hour and a half away. We loaded all our junk up and headed out.
We listened to music the whole way there while Hope and Destiny talked. I was sitting in the back, looking out the window at the cars that were passing us.
A car pulled up and the window was down. I looked inside the car and there was Aaron. He was sitting on someone's lap. He was doing the same thing I was and saw me. He poked the person who’s lap he was in the side and motioned in my direction. I was surprised that the girl looked a lot like Aaron's older brother.
Maybe their sister? She was very blond and her hair is really long. She was really pretty. Aaron said something to her and she looked at me. Then she tapped someone sitting in the front seat on the shoulder. He turned around in his seat and I saw that it was Aaron's brother. He sorta smiled and then the girl hit him in the head. Maybe it was his girl friend. No, they looked to much a like to not be related.
The whole rest of the trip I watched them try to keep up with Destiny's driving. I also noticed that another car was trying to keep up with them. I wondered if Brian was in that car. It didn't look like he was in the car with Aaron and the others. But then again I hadn't seen the driver or the rest of the people in the car, there must have been quite a few if Aaron had to sit on that girl's lap. I was still looking out he window when Hope said something to me.
"Earth to Faith, come in Faith!" I looked away from the window. "What have you been doing back there? You're awfully quiet. I was beginning to get scared that something might have happened to you."
"Nope, sorry. I was just watching the scenery."
"Oh, OK, just making sure. How ya doing?"
"Fine."
"OK, good." Hope went back to talking to Destiny. For the rest of the trip I stared out the window and watched as the green Oregon trees whipped by.
Twenty minutes later I was forced to participate in the conversation, since I was the only one that knew where the house was. I gave Destiny directions and lead her to a rather small house near the road, at the end of a huge driveway that lead up to a much bigger house.
Our little house was cute. It was blue with white trim. It was rather old. It had three bed rooms and two bathrooms. I had toured many of the house that were for rent around the area and finally had decided on that one because it was the perfect size for the three of us.
"This place is so adorable! It is so tiny," Hope was excited. We had planned this time ever since I found out about the baby.
"It's perfect for the three of us. I hope that our neighbors are nice. They must be rich. That is one huge ass house!" Destiny was referring to the large, weather beaten house at the end of the driveway. If you looked through the trees you could just barely see it.
We unloaded all of our junk and went inside. We then decided who was going to get what room. I had already decided which room I wanted. I grabbed that room and let the other two duke it out over who got which of the other two rooms.
My room was painted a soft blue and had white blinds. What I liked most about it was the fact that it had a view of the ocean and of the Big House.
I wondered what kind of people were staying there. I knew there were going to be people there, I had asked the owner of the house we were renting because he also owned the Big House.
He said that a rather large group of people were going to be there while we were staying at the smaller house.
One thing was for sure, this wasn't going to be like any other summer.
