Chapter 9 - SHOPPING!

****Faith's Point of View****

Just as I walked in the door the phone rang. I walked over to it and picked it up. "Hello?"

"Hey, Faith!"

"Brian?"

"Yup! How’d you know?"

"Special powers, I guess." He laughed at that. "So what’s up?"

"Nothing much. We're bored out of our minds! We were wondering if you girls have anything planed so we could tag along."

"Well, we were going to go into town and walk around. If you want to come you are more then welcome."

"Okay, hold on a second. I’ll see if they want to come."

"Alright, and tell AJ and BJ that we will be shopping."

"Okay...wait how did you know that they like to shop?"

"Same reason I knew it was you on the phone, my special powers."

"Yeah, sure. If you say so. Hold on and I’ll see if they want to go." I heard him put his hand over the receiver and I heard his voice, muffled. "You guys want to go in town with the girls and go shopping in the shops?"

I had to laugh at what I heard next. Brian had removed his hand from the phone and I could hear, perfectly clear, AJ and BJ’s response.

"SHOPPING?!?!?!?" when AJ added, "Rok, you actually thought you had to ask if we wanted to go shopping? What’s wrong with you, man?"

Brian then came back, "I’m guessing that’s a yes?" I asked.

"YUP! We’ll be down in a few minutes. Let us get a few things together, okay?"

"Yeah, fine with me. See you then!"

"Bye Faith." I hung up the phone and walked into the living room. There I found Destiny and Hope.

"A small change of plans, girls. The crew is coming with us when we walked to town."

"WHAT?!?!?" Was Destiny’s response. "A little notice would have been nice!"

"Well, that was Brian on the phone. I just found out like, what, two minutes ago? Sorry!"

"It’s OK. I’m going to go get ready." With that she got up and made a beeline for the bathroom. As soon as the door was shut behind her Hope and I burst into a fit of laughter.

"I think Des has a crush on someone!" She managed though her laughter.

"Gee, ya think?" Just then the door bell rang. I walked to the front door and opened it. On the other side stood nine people. "HI EVERYONE! C’mon in!" I stood aside as everyone filed into our little house.

"Nice place girls!" AJ said as he walked into the small living room.

"Thanks," Hope said with a big smile on her face.

"Um...Where’s Destiny?" He asked.

"She’s in the bathroom, getting ready to leave."

"Oh okay." With that, he sat down next to Hope, on the couch. I turned to the others.

"Go ahead and sit down. Des could be a while."

"Thanks," said BJ, sitting on the floor in front of the TV.

I turned my attention to Brian and Nick, who were still standing. "Hey guys!"

Brian smiled, walked over to me and gave me a big, brotherly hug. Nick walked over to where I was standing and just smiled. "What? Do I have something in my teeth?"

"No."

"Okay, good"

"Faith, can I talk to you for a minute?" Brian asked.

"Yeah, sure. Excuse me." I followed Brian into the kitchen. "What is it Brian?"

"Well...I just wanted to ask how you were. But I didn’t want the guys to ask any questions"

"I’m doing just fine."

"That’s good. No trouble from Jake?"

"Nope he hasn’t found me yet."

"Okay, but if he bugs you then you can call me or one of the other guys and we’ll come over, okay? None of us want to see you get hurt."

I gave him another hug. "Thanks Brian! You guys are going to be a lot of fun to be around this summer."

"I think that this is going to be a great summer!" With that we walked back into the living room. Destiny was out of the bathroom and sitting on the arm of the couch, next to AJ.

"Okay troops, LETS SHOP!" As soon as the word shop came out of my mouth, everyone was up and on their way out the door.
