"Ugh! When is this meeting going to start?" Nick asked.

He tapped his finger's on the table. His leg was uncontrollably shaking. All the guys looked at him like he was on a sugar high.

"Nick! Just go to the hospital. Jenna needs you." Howie said.

"Yeah Nick, go ahead! It's important for you to be their." A.J. said.

"Yeah, you guys are right! I'm going to go. I promised her I would." He said.

Nick placed his Nike hat on backwords and grabbed his car keys. He said goodbye to all the guys.

"Nick! Katie and I will be their this afternoon, ok?" Brian said.

"Yeah! Thanks B-Rok. Later, guys!" Nick said.

Jenna laid on her hospital bed. Nurses had come by to run all sorts of tests. They took her blood pressure, they checked her heart beat, the only thing they needed to do was stick an IV in her arm. She had wished Nick was their right now. She hated needles. All she wanted to do was see Nick's face, and hold his hand. The nurse came in with the IV.

"Ugh!" Jenna sighed.

The nurse gave her a sympathtic smile. She took Jenna's right arm, just as she was getting the IV ready, Nick poked his head through the door.

"NICK!!" Jenna yelled.

"I promised!" Nick said.

Jenna once again, watched his perfectly shaped lips. She nodded her head, and then Nick sat down next to the nurse.

"Hold me hand? Please!" Jenna said.

Nick smiled, he took her hand and gently squeezed it. Her eyes were big and full of fear. They looked like the eyes of a five year old. The nurse stuck the IV in Jenna's arm. She squirmed and squealed, but when it was all over with she let out a big sigh of relief.

"Thank god!" Jenna said.

"Jenna? I am giving you medication to make you fall asleep now, ok?" The nurse said. She then wrote it down on a piece of paper for Jenna to read.

Jenna nodded her head. Nick let go of her hand for just a few minutes. He took out his handy pad and pen. He was greatful to be getting rid of it. He wrote down one last message for her.

"Hey brown eyed girl! Just think...the next time you wake up you are going to hear all the noise around you. I have so much I want to tell you, and so much I want you to hear! Just do me a favor? Go through the surgery like a trooper, ok? I know you'll do great! I'll be right here waiting for you. So will your mom and dad!" Nick wrote.

Jenna sleepily glanced at what Nick had written. She nodded in agreement to what he had written. Nick moved his thumb around in circles on Jenna's palm. A few minutes later she had fallen asleep. The doctors wheeled her away to surgery. Nick walked out into the waiting room with Mr. and Mrs. Sullivan.

About four hours later Jenna was out of surgery and in her room. Her parents and Nick waited for her to wake up. Nick sat on the edge of her hospital bed, he grabbed her hand, and began to sing to her.

Nick softly sang his song "I Need You Tonight." He watched as Jenna slowly began to open her eyes. Her parents listened to Nick sing. They both agreed the the Backstreet Boys were very talented.

"That was beautiful." Jenna said softly.

"Thanks...what?" Nick said.

"WHAT?" Her parents said in unison.

"That song, it's my favorite! It was beautiful." Jenna said.

"HONEY! You heard it?" Her mother yelled.

"Yeah! Unless, I am dreaming." Jenna said.

"No, no Jenna! Your not dreaming." Nick said softly.

Katie sat next to Jenna and filled her in on all the hottest gossip, and all the stuff she missed on "Dawson's Creek." Katie was talking a mile a minute, and Jenna was replying even faster. Nick and Brian sat back and watched the girls. Both guys trying their hardest to keep up with the conversation.

"Jenna! Girl! Brian over their, asked me to go to the Halloween party!" Katie said.

"Ohhh...he did! That means you are going as a Cowgirl!" Jenna said.

Katie's face got a discusted look on it.

"Brian, are you seriouse? I have to be a Cowgirl?" Katie asked.

"That's right ma'am!" Brian said. He pretended to tip his hat.

Jenna and Nick laughed, and Katie just sighed. Then she lightly tapped Brian on the knee.

"Oh all right! But if I am going as a cowgirl, I am gonna be the coolest, the flyest, the hottest cowgirl their is!" Katie said.

"Yeah well, I have faith that you will be that!" Brian said.

The rest of them stayed in Jenna's hospital room for a little while longer. She had to stay the night, just to make sure no side effects occured. Nick went home late that night. He was so glad Jenna could finally hear everything that was going on around them.
