People passed by me,
but they didn't care,
for they saw me crying,
and just left me there...
If only ONE person,
had stopped to listen,
maybe things would be different,
and I'd still be here...
As it was no one heard me,
when I cried out for help,
so I was alone and scared,
when my life gave out...

DREAMS OF LOVE
By Kathryn L.M. Reynolds
When the house is silent, and peace reigns, I like to be
alone with my thoughts and dreams. Music plays softly in
the background, while a cool, fresh breeze flows in through
the open window. It is a refreshing welcome.
I'll sit gazing up, at the glittering stars, and wish with
all my heart for someone to share a time like this with. It
is on a night - such as this - that my lonliness becomes
achingly clear.
So I turn my thoughts upon happier times, and soon I'm
dreaming... Dreaming of a time when I won't be alone, and
I'll be able to remember this ache with a tender smile - as
strong, loving arms wrap around me, comfortingly...
Caught up in my dreamworld of love, I forget to be lonely, and a sense of well-being begins inside me. So when my dream starts to fade away; a hope lingers on for that special, far off day...
Then when reality returns and I am alone, I find that my lonliness is gone... So I'll sit gazing up, once again, at those glittering stars, and know the desire in my heart is only a dream away.
And as I slowly nod-off to sleep, I dream of a time, when I
willbe loved, and the next thing I know - I am asleep...
BEHOLD - THE MOON
By Kathryn L.M. Reynolds
In the still of the night, the moon is dominent in ti's princely reign, while the royal court of stars sparkle and glimmer around it. Oh what an appealing sight! All night, the moon reigns over the Earth, giving light and guidence to those in the darkness below.
The moon casts a blue-silvery glow, it's stardust beams throws shadows all over my walls. As I gaze out my window, the trees in hues of various blues, seem to bow down to the moon, as a cool breeze flows through their silvery leaves.
I open my window - catching the crisp, fresh scent of the night's air, and I look up at that big blue ball hovering so nobly in the night sky, and I dream of times long ago... And I think of how long-ago people must have glanced up - and like me - encountered the moon.
As I continue to gaze up at the luminous globe, I think of those people who'll come, long after I'm gone. And I imagine how they too, will glance up at the stars, and behold the mist-shrouded moon...
And I wonder if the people past, present, and future will - like me - cast wishes and weave dreams upon the moon's star-studded beams, and become lost in it's timeless allure...
And as I gaze up at the moon, tonight is cast in a timeless haze - for that great big ball of blue has graced the night sky long before I, and it will continue to do so long after I've died...
It's at times like this, when time seems to stand still... And so, as I continue to gaze up at the glittering night sky, I can almost sense those other people - past, present, and future - who, like me, glance up at the stars, and behold - the moon.
