The trick to getting Yuffie is to be as mean as you can to the other women in the party. Talk them down, ignore them... whatever you have to do. When Aeris asks if Tifa is Cloud's girlfriend, you need to say no. When Aeris asks if you wanna' buy a flower, say no way. You need to try to keep Yuffie in your party at all times when you can first get her, and you need to keep the other girls out of your party at all times.
If and when you get to date Yuffie... it's hilarious. You'll like it.
