The recorder education of Flauto Nuovo consists of twelve levels. At the end of the education there is a possibility to obtain the 'Flauto Nuovo Diploma'. This diploma offers the possibility to go to a preparatory training for the conservatory.

The promotion to the levels 2 - 3 - 4 - 5 - 6 - 7 - 8 - 9 - 10 - 11 - 12 is achieved by playing in public at the annual Pupil's concert of Flauto Nuovo. For the certificate that comes with the levels 9 and 12 also a public exam has to be taken. Qualified teachers will be present at these exams.

After every level the pupil receives a 'Flauto Nuovo Certificate'.

In every level the main goal is:
  • enjoying music
  • to stimulate musical creativity

    In all levels attention is paid (without effort) to:
  • experiencing music
  • developing hearing
  • good use of voice
  • improvisation
  • scales
  • etudes
  • making own compositions in both traditional and graphical notation (twentieth century)
  • etcetera...

    Besides that there is elaborate attention for general techniques, such as:
  • finger technique
  • articulations
  • breath control
  • posture
  • etcetera...
