Furry Boots MAGNI and Furry Boots ORVANDEL.
Sire: Sup.Ch.Furry Boots Sindri, cream cameo............. Dam: Furry Boots' Kyrrekatt Minerva, blue and white.

How MAGNI and ORVANDEL were named from Norse mythology:

The story starts with the chief god Odin, taunting a stone giant, Hrungner, and saying that the strongest god Thor could detroy the giant. Odin and his pals had been drinking a lot of mead at the time, so the boasts were not exactly wisely made.

However the giant took up the taunts and in return challenged Thor to an "island duel". Thor naturally had his pride, and had to accept. But an island duel is no normal duel. Each combatant is allowed a shieldbearer, and the island duel involves a blow for blow duel, with the challenged one starting with the first blow.

On the giant's island, the giants built a giant of clay nine miles high, and three miles wide at the shoulders, to be Hrungner's shieldbearer. So with this broad and thick shield, stood Hrungner, and with a flint weapon in his hand, swung over his shoulder - formiddable was he.
Thor's shieldbearer was the faithful Thjalfe, son of Orvandel - and Thjalfe was swift of foot, and had an idea to thwart Hrungner. He ran up towards Hrungner and declared "Although thy shield is held in front, thou dost stand unprotected, for Thor cometh to attack three from the earth beneath!"
So Hrungner cast his shield down onto the earth and stood on it! Then did Thor arrive running, amidst thunder and lightning with his hammer swung to strike. Hrungner did not wait, and flung his great flint weapon at Thor's hammer.
The two weapons met in mid-air with flashing forks of fire that rent the heavens and covered the ocean with flame - and the flint was utterly shattered! However, pieces of flint fell to the earth, and became the flint hills still there to this day - and also a pice of flint struck Thor in the forehead, and he fell.
Meanwhile the magic hammer continued on its course and crushed the stone skull of the giant, slaying him, but the giant fell and landed with his foot over Thor's neck.
Thjalfe first overcame the giant's shieldbearer then rushed to assist Thor to get out from under the giant stone foot, but was not strong enough.

But fortunately, just then, Thor's son Magni came along, not more than three days and three nights old, and he was strong enough to free his father from the stone foot pinning his neck!

Thor returned to Orvandel's dwelling, but found his friend the archer, (Orvandel - also called Orion) in great peril from the frost-giants who were attacking him.
Thor rescued his friend speedily, by placing him in his great meatbag on his back, and wading through the deep river to escape the frost giants.
One of Orvandel's toes stuck out through the bag however, and the frost-giants put on a spell to freeze it!
Thor had a solution - he broke off the frozen toe, and placed it in the heavens, where to this day it is the brightest starr in the heavens (Sirius by name - also called Orvandel's toe to this day).
Thus the archer Orvandel/Orion, became a star-hero.

Furry Boots Magni, the kitten above left, is named after his Norse namesake,
because he was the strong little kitten to be first to climb out of the kitten playpen,
and to climb the scratchingpost.

Furry Boots Orvandel is named for the white tailtip he has,
reminiscent of the star Sirius, and also for his white toes.

All the Furry Boots kittens are named after characters in Norse Mythology,
carefully chosen to somehow have relevance for the kitten in question.
