About the houses, I am only going to give you a brief description here as you will probably want to go on and check out each house by page. You, in your studies, will be able to expand on these meanings many times.
The 12 houses are classified as departments of Life, not to be confused with the 12 Signs that describe them. When a planet causes an action, the house it activates will tell you in what area of life will be effected. You personaly (1st), your partner (7th), your finances (2nd), the finances of others (8th), and so-on. There are too many variances to mention here.
One more thing must be said in regard to the houses. There are three kinds of houses, I have
listed them below.
Angular
1st, 4th, 7th and 10th. The cardinal cross. The self, the home, the partner and the
profession. More importantance is placed on the planets that fall in these houses.
Succeedent
2nd, 5th, 8th and 11th. These houses have to do more with your emotions and desires.
Cadent
3rd, 6th, 9th and 12th. These houses are more introspective and have more to do with our thought processes
