Sometimes people come into
your life and you know right away that
they were meant to be there...to serve
some sort of purpose, teach you a lesson
or help figure out who you are or who
you want to become. You never know who
these people may be but when you lock
eyes with them, you know that very
moment that they will affect your life
in some profound way. And sometimes
things happen to you at the time that
may seem horrible, painful and unfair,
but in reflection you realize that
without overcoming those obstacles you
would have never realized your
potential, strength, will power, or
heart.
**
Everything happens for a reason. Nothing
happens by chance or by means of good
luck. Illness, injury, love, lost
moments of true greatness and sheer
stupidity all occur to test the limits
of your soul. Without these small tests,
life would be like a smoothly paved,
straight, flat road to nowhere. Safe and
comfortable but dull and utterly
pointless.
**
The people you meet affect your life.
The successes and downfalls that you
experience can create who you are, and
the bad experiences can be learned from.
In fact, they are probably the most
poignant and important ones.
**
If someone hurts you, betrays you or
breaks your heart, forgive them because
they have helped you learn about trust
and the importance of being cautious to
whom you open your heart to. If someone
loves you, love them back
unconditionally, not only because they
love you, but because they are teaching
you to love and open your heart and eyes
to little things.
**
Make every day count. Appreciate every
moment and take from it everything that
you possibly can, for you may never be
able to experience it again. Talk to
people you have never talked to before,
and actually listen.
**
Let yourself fall in love, break free
and set your sights high. Hold your head
up because you have every right to. Tell
yourself you are a great individual and
believe in yourself, for if you don't
believe in yourself, no one else will
believe in you. Create your own life and
then go out and live it.
**
Be careful what you ask for,
you just might get it.
Your words, dreams and thoughts have
power to create conditions in your
life.
What you speak about, you can bring
about.
If you keep saying you can't stand your
job, you might lose your job.
If you keep saying you can't stand your
body, your body can become sick.
If you keep saying you can't stand your
car, your car could be stolen or stop
operating.
If you keep saying you're always broke,
guess what? you'll always be
broke.
If you keep saying you can't trust a man
or trust a woman, you will always find
someone in your life to hurt and betray
you.
If you keep saying you can't find a job,
you will remain unemployed.
If you keep saying you can't find
someone to love you or believe in you,
your very thoughts will attract more
experiences to confirm your beliefs.
Turn your thoughts and conversations
around to be more positive and power
packed with faith, hope, love and
action.
Don't be afraid to believe that you can
have what you want and deserve.
Get out of your own way.
Stop, think and listen to what you are
speaking and believing.
What you energize with your faith,
feelings, words and actions will
magnetize into your life what you focus
on.
-- Jewel Diamond Taylor,
Motivational Speaker
A well known speaker started off his
seminar by holding up a $20 bill. In the
room of 200, he asked, "Who would like
this $20 bill?" Hands started going up.
He said, "I am going to give this $20 to
one of you but first, let me do this."
He proceeded to crumple the dollar bill
up. He then asked, "Who sill wants it?"
Still the hands were up in the air.
"Well," he replied, "What if I do this?"
And he dropped it on the ground and
started to grind it into the floor with
his shoe. He picked it up, now all
crumpled and dirty. "Now who still
wants it?" Still the hands went into the
air.
"My friends, you have all
learned a very valuable lesson. No
matter what I did to the money, you
still wanted it because it did not
decrease in value. It was still worth
$20. Many times in our lives, we are
dropped, crumpled, and ground into the
dirt by the decisions we make and the
circumstances that come our way. We
feel as though we are worthless. But no
matter what has happened or what will
happen, you will never lose your value
in God's eyes. To Him, dirty or clean,
crumpled or finely creased, you are
still priceless to Him. Psalm 17:8
states that God will keep us, "as the
apple of His eye."
THOUGHT: The worth of our lives come
not in what we do or who we are but by
WHOSE WE ARE! You are special. Have a
great day!! Give your troubles to God;
He will be up all night anyway.
