On November 18, 2000, about 10 sportbikers met up at DeSoto Dragstrip for a day of dragracing.
My expectations going into the day were to AT LEAST run a 12.2 and I would be extremely
happy to break into the 11's. Well, on my very first run EVER I ran a 11.953 at 119.33mph. I could
hardly believe it. After running the 11.9, my new goal was to run an 11.5. I was getting pretty
good launches and by the end of the day managed to run an 11.468 at 120.56mph. I was VERY happy
and was the only 600cc bike to even break into the 11's that day. My goal for the future is to break
into the 10's. It may take another mod or two but I am already very close to that goal.
