1998 Honda CBR600F3
With a good rider, this bike has the potential to accelerate to 60mph in about 3.5 seconds, to 100mph in about 7.5 seconds, and down the quarter mile in about 11.5 seconds at about 120mph. Blazingly fast. Actually, faster than any street legal production car in the world. Not bad for just 36 cubic inches of engine displacement. Top speed is somewhere around 160mph. Why is it so fast? Well, it put almost 92 horsepower to the ground and weighs a little over 400 pounds.
This bike also has a close-ratio six-speed transmission and has an engine redline of 13,500 rpm. Shifting at redline, the revs never drop down below 10,000 rpm. This keeps the engine at the peak of it's power (check out the dyno results below). All these factors, plus lots more, make for some serious fun. If you ever even thought about getting a sport bike, DO IT! It's a BLAST.
