Chapter One
The old woman, known in town as, Mrs. O'hara,
walked into her house.
It was a pretty nice house. Small, and comfortable.
She sat down in her favorite chair that she's had
for ages. She puts her glasses on, and picks up her
scrapbook. She opens it. She could feel a tear
forming in her eye.
"Grandma, what are you doing?"
A little girl says while climbing into her lap.
"Oh, nothing honey." she wipes the tear away quickly.
Actually, this wasn't the girls grandma,
it was her great grandma.
The girl had dirty blond hair and green eyes.
You could tell she took after her great great grandmother.
She had her green eyes that glisten when they are in direct
sunlight. She had her great grandmother's slim figure, and
a slim face.
Once again, she looks at her great grandma, puts her hand
on her great grandmother's leg to prop herself up with.
"Watcha doing?" Anna, the little girl says once again.
Mrs. O'hara puts her scrap book down, takes her glasses
off of her face, and places the glasses on her bed table.
"Well honey, ' Mrs. O'hara puts her hands on her face,
and slides her hand down to her chin.
Anna puts her hands up to her chin.
"Well, I've never told anyone this, not even your mom."
She looks at Anna
Anna scrunches her eyes, that caused wrinkles in the
middle of her forehead.
"Whatta-ya mean grandma?" Anna says, looking confused
but anxious.
"When I was alittle bit older than you, well, i guess 15 or so.'
she says while squinching her eyes for the memories.
"There was a boy." Mrs. O'hara says.
"Awww, grandma had a boyfriend." Anna says while
making kissing sounds.
Mrs. O'hara looked at her granddaughter and smiled.
"Well, honey, ' she paused for a breath. "It was alittle bit
more than that."
Anna listened in closely.
"I was in love." Mrs. O'hara says while lifting her eyebrows.
Anna lifed her head up off her chin and said. "You were?"
Mrs. O'hara shook her head. "Yes, honey. ' she paused.
'but it was such a long time ago."
"How long-a time ago?" Anna says.
"Well, let's see.' Mrs. O'hara says while picking up her
scrapbook from her bed table. 'well, it was in the 90's."
"Wow!! That was for-ever ago grandma!" Anna says with
her eyes wide open.
"I know honey, as i remember correctly, it was 1995, when
I started to like him. We were both 13 years old.
We were the bestest friends ever.
He thought he could protect me from everything.
I thought i was a ruler
of this world.' she says while pausing. 'Well, me and Taylor
thought we were. We were dreamers."
"Who's Taylor?" Anna says while directing her eyes towards
the scrap book.
"This is him honey." She pointed at a picture of her and
Taylor. It was taken of them when they went fishing. Taylor
caught the most of course.
"Wow!! What's up with the long hair?" Anna says
squinching her nose up again.
"Well, honey, that's how they wore it, it was the most
beautiful hair in the world." Mrs. O'hara said.
"Well, what else is there?" Anna says while putting
her hand chin back into her hands.
"Well, if i can remember,'
she paused and took another deep breath.
'like i said, it all started in 1995, we were both 13 years old,
we had grown up together in the same town"
She looks down at Anna, who was listening very
closely.
"I loved that boy so much," she squeezes the corners of
scrapbook. "but, ' she pauses again. She looked up
to the sky. 'but, i never told him."
Anna looked up at her anxiously waiting for the story.
A tear was forming in Mrs. O'hara's eyes again.
"I should have told him."
