So since sin was giving to all mankind and it cost nothing, we are all born with sin. So Salvation is given to all mankind and we can do nothing for it. Being good enough will not get you to Heaven, being baptized will not get you there either. All you have to do is believe in your heart that Jesus is the Son of God, He was brutally crucified, buried and rose again the third day.
