Just saw total chick flick. Bridget Jones's Diary, story of insecure mid-30s British female book editor. Spends movie writing entries like this in journal. Does not use complete sentences when doing so.

Movie adapted from best selling book. Despite concerns, Texan Zellweger does smashing job with Brit accent. Also puts on weight for character -- appears merely thin rather than emaciated.

Story follows Jones's attempts to quit smoking, quit drinking, drop pounds and finally land perfect man. Grant drops usual sniveling twit act, for change exudes confidence as Jones's two-timing bastard love interest. Firth character also in romantic picture.

Theme: finding love where you least expect it.

Must admit, more scenes funny than not. Chicks sure to dig it.

P.S. Good soundtrack.
