Backstreet Boys Cancel Appearance Because Of Death In The Family
The Backstreet Boys pulled out of a scheduled headlining slot at a radio sponsored show in Shakopee,
Minnesota, on Sunday after hearing that band member Howie Dorough's sister had died of complications
from lupus.
At first, the band planned to forge on and play the gig as a quartet, as Dorough immediately left to be with
his family in Raleigh, North Carolina, according to The Associated Press.
The Boys finally abandoned the concert and the 19,000 fans gathered at the "Last Chance Summer
Dance" when the band -- who was already one-person short for the gig -- realized that one of the singers
would not be able to catch a flight in from Tampa, Florida, in time for the show.
The Backstreet Boys released a statement apologizing for the cancellation, and vowed to reschedule the
appearance in the near future.

Please note that this article came straight from the MTV website. When I heard the news, I first thought it was a mean rumor, but then everyone else was talking about it....and unfortunately it is true.
I would like to express my deepest sympathies towards the entire Dorough family on the loss of Caroline. She was very beautiful and I'm sure that she will be greatly missed.
