Tuesday, March 14!

The Bocce Gazette is finally moving to a new location!

I'm happy to announce the new location and that after 8 long years as the only daily bocce update page, it was time to revive the old Gazette and make it available to everyone. The new URL is:

KeyWestSports.net

Clubhouse Publishing and Key West Sports.net, our new sponsors, will provide Monday Night's scores, standings and comments right after completion of the games.

Help me to spread the word and your letters and comments are always welcome and will be published on a different page.

If you would like to contribute an article about some past events, like the old Roll All Night etc., please don't hesitate to mail your letters.

Visit the exclusive Gazette Calendar for the remaining schedule:

Monday Night Bocce!
Where are the scoresheets?
This and a lot more could be heard on the courts last night and a general unhappiness with the status quo of the SMBL was quite evident. Perhaps the ones most unhappy with the situation should be getting ready to volunteer for the always unappreciated duty of an Officer of the league.

No big surprises though on the playing courts during the night, but perhaps the 3 games the BoozeHounds took away from the Spectacles. Needless to say that this game was the longest of the night.

It didn't take Jolly's and PePe's too long to finish their night with clean sweeps of their opponent, while Keys Armored had a hard time with the struggling Waiters on Wheels (W.O.W.) and were lucky to win the first game 16-15 after W.O.W. couldn't convert a rather easy gamewinner.

The condition of the courts were the main complaints last night and Court C reminded one of a Sandbox. And it only got worse as the night progressed. Hopefully by play-off time this matter will have been corrected.

Although still a long way to go till then, the current 4 top teams are all but qualified which leaves 3 teams to fight for the last post season spot.

Frankless Plumbing, W.O.W. and Bascom Grooms are vying for that desirable position and it should come down to when these teams face eachother within the next few weeks.

In our next edition will be a poll of who do you think will make the play-offs.
Until next week
