6.REG (6eme Régiment Etrangèr de Genie) Avignon - France.

6.REG is the newest regiment. And is based in another beatifull area of France and there job is to build bridges, clear or place mines,  and place and/or clear boobytraps. The regiment has also a diver's unit - DINOPS (Detachement d'Intervention Operationelle Subaquqtique). 6.REG was established July 1th. 1984, and is stationed at Camp Ardoise in Avignon. They where used extensivly during the Gulf war to deal with mines and booby traps. They have been avolved in almost every theatre of conflict that the Legion has been assigned to in recent years. The 6 REG forms part of France's Force d'Action Rapide along with the 2 REI and the 1 REC. As a rookie you can't go there, you have to earn it!
