Milan Anti-Tank Weapon
The Milan (Missile d'Infanterie Léger Antichar) - meaning light infantry anti-tank missile, is a second generation system developed jointly by France and Western Germany. It has a range of 25 - 2000 m and can be carried by the operator. After the missile is launched from the tube its wings spring open and it is guided to the target semi-automatically following the line of sight by means of wires. It will soon be replaced by the third generation TRIGAT system with automatic laser guidance.
