Sniping Rifle FR F-2
Constructed of modern composite materials, the FR - F2 has largely replaced the FRF-1 as the sniper's weapon. The FRF-2 is a 7.5mm sniper rifle assigned to the Legion. A bolt action weapon which is capable of imprissive results in the right pair of hands. Fitted with a bipod and different size butt plates a killing range of 600 metres can be acheived with accuracy. There is normally one Tireur d'elite per groupe. This is not officially a sniper but still a trained sharp shooter. The weapon is fitted with telescopic sight for daylight use and a night sight may be fitted for use in darkness.
Weighing just over 5 kg the bracket will take all NATO
telescopic sites though the Legion prefers to use a 6x42
telescopic daytime sight
and a Gx3 night sight. It is available with either wooden or
composite stock.
