WITH RESPECT TO GREAT WARRIOR
You were there in times of trouble,
my heart so filled with pain,
you wiped my brow and soothed my wounds,
gave me reason to remain...
For at this time my life,
was in turmoil and dispair,
confusion and pain had taken it's toll,
I thought, beyond repair...
Then came you, a blessing in descise,
to lift me up and show me peace,
in how the eagle soars the skies,
You showed me life as I had never known,
with peace and love and light,
and how to have it all again,
this spirit had given up the fight...
Without you my great warrior,
my future would have been bleak,
with all the love and trust I have,
I lay my spirit at your feet...
Without you this spirit would be gone,
a shambled wreck was I,
you showed me time and time again,
the wonders of the sky...
You taught me of the Great Spirit,
and how to love again,
to speak our language and know the ways,
of where our people had once been...
Now you can see great warrior,
how very special you are,
to me and all the others,
who have also worn the scars...
Anytime you need me,
I will always be here,
to wipe your brow and soothe your wounds,
without reservation or fear...
So you see my brother,
how much you really mean,
to all those you have touched,
you gave of yourself and your love,
we all need you very much.
