Dark Tidings

The ronin Toturi now sits upon the Obsidian throne. He has been the Emperor, for two months and a few days after dethroning Bayushi Shoju with the combined efforts of his own army, the Dragon clan, and the newly ordained Mantis great clan.
The people of the empire are still somewhat unhappy with the new Emperor and how he became so. Toturi still scours the villages and cities for any remnants of the now vanished Scorpion clan. The throne and palace were empty when Toturi made his assualt and no trace was left behind.
The Wasp clan has been pardoned by the emperor for their hunting of the Crane. As the Crane clan rebuild within their gutted palaces and lands. The Unicorn clan still seal off their land from the empire and now watch the ronin with a speculative eye. All has gone silent from the lands of the Phoenix, emmissaries to the lands are heard from nor seen anymore. The Lion clan has been given it's stature once more as a clan along with the Crane. The Lion also rebuild and rejoice as the ronin Toturi, now once more Akodo Toturi, sits on the throne for their clan.
Togashi Yokuni has undergone a spiritual quest with the most enlightened men and women of the empire. He has not returned since, and the Dragon sit silently in their mountain home. But now dark clouds arise from the south as the storm that has been brewing there for months has finally cast it's shadow over the empire.
The battered Crab clan sends envoys to the Imperial Palace of Otosan-Uchi with warnings that the wall is going to fall. Oni, goblins, ogres, and other ancient terrors have begun to destroy the wall and are now invading the empire. Reports tell of the lost Crabs, Kuni Yori and Hida Amoro, leading seperate armies of undead and oni past the wall, in conjunction with Yogo Junzo's own armies. As well as a terror which has not been felt in the empire for ages, the terror of he whose name should not be spoken, Fu Leng.
It is definitely a very dark time within our empire and the call has gone out for all the clans to unite to fight off this unrelenting horror.
