Email Retriever Server for Voice and Text

The Email Retriever Server for Voice and Text (ERS-VT)is a technology development project open to all. The aim is to have access to e-mail by use of the telephone. This is broader and more open than a voice mail system.

The ERS-VT allows new applications for email such as news distribution. Just dial a news number. It can also distribute work group assignments. Any member can call the nimber to get up-to-the minute instructions. It can also be used for language instruction, depending upon the quality of the text-to-speech system used. In China, GB code could be read in any selected dialect. Translation options are also possible on advanced server implementations.
