NEWS
The Traditional Karate Association recently held it's annual Summer Gashuku and featured Kiyoshi Yamazaki of the All Japan Karate Do Ryobukai. Those in attendance learned the kata Nijushiho and reviewed Sepai and Sunakakenokon. An exciting part of the event was when Master Yamazaki presented Kaicho Ricky Adams with his Association Charter as well as his Instructors License from the Ryobukai...truly an honor.

In Other News...
Renshi Andrew Blackburn was recently tested for and received his black belt in Goshin Budo Jiu Jitsu. The exam was presided over by Kaicho Ricky Adams. Renshi Blackburn has studied Jiu Jitsu, Judo & Aikido techniques informally for more than 12 years but has never tested for rank. In addition to his routine training in the arts he has also attended seminars on Jiu Jitsu taught by Kaicho Adams(Goshin Budo), Jack Morris, Kyoshi Stroud(Hakko Ryu/Goshin Budo), Wally Jay(Small Circle Theory) and Royce Gracie(Brazilian Jiu Jitsu). Renshi Blackburn believes in always learning.....because being a student means you get to learn and learning something new while polishing something already learned is what karate is all about.
In addition to achieving black belt Kaicho Adams also authorized Renshi Blackburn to teach Goshin Budo Jiu Jitsu at the Shindo Ryu Hombu Dojo in Inverness, Florida. Stay tuned because a class schedule will be posted here shortly.
