This song has an ethic that has been used many times in music, but not so much in heavy hardcore music in such sense. The song sends a flat out message to the listener about society and the country. No real clever lines or artsy phrases are really used to describe it so the listener can flat out get the point (which is what i usually try to do in my lyrics.) The "children of liberty" are said in the song to be the youth of the future which is going to have to live in the problems of pain and filth that the previous generation has created. Not so much as a preaching song to try and fix the problem, but just to send the shock of reality of what is going on in the word. For example the line, "...they are your offspring, please take them in care, please take heed of the pain they must bare..." just asks that people of today to at least notice what they are doing to the world. That is the basic message i had in mind writing these lyrics.
