J awhile ago came up to me and said he had wanted to cover a song called, "choose to hate" by Jenny Ballade. After I listened to the song, i thought it to be a good idea. Well, J is friends with the lead singer of the late industrial band, and he got the lyrics from her, and I read them, and just totally dismissed them. Actually to be perfectly honest, I thought they were the dumbest lyrics I ever saw as far as having a meaning to them went. See, in industrial music, it is more focus on the music itself with all the little keyboard noises, but in metal music, we need songs with meanings, so we don't end up like Papa Roach or Limp Bizkit. Danielle of Jenny Ballade is a good singer, but I thought I could put more into by making my own lyrics, which J has pointed out to me. So I used the same fast paced verses of the song, kept the basic skeloten of it and branched off into my own words. The song talks about trying to get a loved one to stop being consumed by so much hate. In the song I always state that "I never chose to hate" the loved one I am trying to get back, but in the end of the song, I go into a verse that talks about the loved one turning on me by putting a gun in my mouth. I then ask the person in the song if this will kill "what you despise" and the song is left in question on what happened ending with the phrase, "I'll never lose you" meaning I am saying I will never give up on the person.
