This song gives somewhat of a story to it. The story isn't based off anything that has happened per say, just a possible conclusion to a certain situation. The song talks about a republican politician who has passed a law making having an abortion illegal, however, right after the law is passed, the politician's daughter becomes pregnant, and now the politician doesn't know what to do. I wrote this song to point out certain flaws in conservative politics. This being a major one, and this is often the argument I use for for my Pro-choice beliefs. I am more than certain that this song is going to cause some major conflicts with fans if the message is passed. However, that is the whole point. I would also like to point out that this song isn't preaching the fact that a woman should have the right to choose (although, i strongly believe that.) That kind of speaking gets you nowhere. This is more of an eye opener. Pointing out that I don't like to call when people call it "pro-life" I prefer to call it "anti-choice," as many other liberals like to as well. If we don't commit murder against people, we are "pro-life" regaurdless of what our views on the conteversal abortion topic may be.
