This song is a song about opinions, and how they clash with each other in our society. The basic problem is that people bring up their opinions when the thing they are speaking for is not really in question. In short, people create problems with having opinions on issues that are not a problem at the given time. It is as if somebody was really going on and on about how abortion should be a choice for a woman to have if she wants to have one. Right now, abortion is legal, so there is no point in running off at the mouth about it. The song makes references to weapons that are "overlooked by the law," which is a metaphor for opinions. The basic message I am trying to send to people in this song is that they really should fight battles that need to be fought, and not even with just opinions, everything. I chose to really base it on people's opinions because I believe it is a medium that almost everyone can relate to and understand. Every human being (who has the ability to reason) has an opinion. If your opinion is going to cause conteversy, make sure your statement needs to heard to make a change that hasn't already been made. It's a confusing thing to explain, but everyone has their own words for understanding it.
