Andrea Jane Corr
Born May 17, 1974, Andrea is the youngest Corr, and also the shortest at only 5'2. Andrea sings lead and plays the tin whistle (don't understand? Brush up on your Celtic knowledge).
No one would ever deny that Andrea is beautiful. She was named Ireland's sexiest woman only a few years ago...an honor that many covet. That beautiful face won her the part of Juan Peron's mistress in the big screen version of the film Evita. Her movie credits don't end there though. Andrea also lent her voice to the film Quest for Camelot and she and the group perform two songs on the soundtrack.
Caroline Georgine Corr
Caroline is the second youngest Corr, and also they shyest. (I had to make my own picture...I'll get a new one of her soon). Caroline was born on the 17th of March, 1973. You're less likely to see Caroline in front of the camera than her brother and sisters, because she's usually behind the drums...that's right, a female drummer. And a pretty good one, too. Caroline also lends her talents to the Bodhran (again, Celtic knowledge), the piano, and backing vocals.
Sharon Helga Corr
Sharon plays the violin-and plays it amazingly well. She's been playing since she was six years old, and in all that time she's only missed one lesson! This is good news for the group, since Celtic music revolves around a violin, or fiddle.
Sharon was born on March 24, 1970, but she doesn't usually play the big sister role of the group. However, Sharon's upbeat and happy personality usually are a relief to her siblings, and to her fans. Come on...how many other people in this world can play violin and sing at the same time? Believe me-it's not easy!.
James Steven Ignatius Corr
Jim is the big brother that started it all. In many ways, Jim can also be considered the most musically talented. He plays electric and acoustic guitar, accordian, piano, keyboard, and sings backing vocals, too. Not only does he play with the group live, but he's also greatly involved in the technical aspects. He's written several of the Corrs tracks, and has also done quite a bit of producing, including working with Grammy Award winner David Foster.
Jim was born July 31, 1964, making him the group's big brother...even though he only comes in at about 5'8!
