Neon Dreams
Please read the following information:
Neon Dreams, as my visitors know it, has ceased to exist. At this time, I need help, and have little choice but to ask for it from everyone I can.
For more than five years, Neon Dreams has existed as a source of free graphics for WebTV users, and anyone else who wished to take them. I have never asked for anything in return, and gave of my time freely.
My mother, who is disabled, has suffered a run of bad luck recently, and is in desperate need of financial assistance. I am giving her every penny I can, but it is not enough. As much as it humiliates me to do so, I am turning to you, strangers, for help.
If you can find it in yourself to donate any amount of money, even $1, to help my mother out of her plight, I would be forever grateful.

My mother, who is 49, has severe asthma. She is considered disabled, and has been on Disability for almost 12 years now. Her lungs function at about 45% of the capacity of a healthy set of lungs, and they will only get worse over time. She is on steroids, a nebulizer to provide breathing treatments at home, oxygen for when she is having an especially hard time breathing, and medication to help combat the damage that has been done to her liver by 20+ years of steroids.
In spite of her health problems, I have never once heard her lament her luck or whine about how bad she has it. She simply deals with it as well as she can, and accepts things. She is an incredibly upbeat, strong woman, and I admire her very much.
We live in central Florida, and the heat and humidity make it nearly impossible for her to function outdoors. Even a trip to the grocery store is difficult for her, and the only thing that makes daily life tolerable is air conditioning.
That's where the problem begins.... the central A/C unit in her house has quit working. Estimates to repair it range from $600-$850, which is far beyond anything she or I can afford. In the time since the air conditioning unit failed, I have found her two small, window unit air conditioners, but they are used and in poor shape. It is only a matter of time before one or both of them fails, also.
As much as I would love to go out and pay for the repairs on her central unit, or at least buy her a larger, newer window unit, I'm not financially able to.
Now that I'm desperate, I've decided to try the generosity of the visitors to Neon Dreams, and hope that at least a few people would see fit to help. Anything that you can afford to give would be greatly appreciated, even if it is good wishes or prayers instead of financial aid. Thank you for listening.
