Jessica was the 1996 Olympian. She is one of the few U.S. gymnasts who began rhythmic gymnastics and not artistic gymnastics. Most rhythmic gymnasts start out as artistic gymnasts. Jessica began the sport when her elementary school teacher introduced her to it and she loved it. Jessica won the 1995 and 1996 Rhythmic National Championships. She finished 24th all-around at the 1995 World Championships and secured the U.S. a spot in the 1996 Olympic Games. Jessica is looking forward to attending the University of Massachusetts-Amherst in the fall of '96. Jessica appeared on the Jay Leno show a few weeks after the 1996 Olympic Games.
