Scheduled to be held in Suriname during 1984, the Eighth Caribbean Jamboree was cancelled, evidently due to a lack of financial resources. The numbering of the jamborees was maintained as if it had been held.
The logo at the top of this page is taken from a set of four Suriname postage stamps marking the Sixtieth Anniversary of Scouting in that country. Other than this single postage stamp, was any memorabilia produced?
