Grace~~~~~Faith~~~~~Salvation
#1 "For by grace are ye saved through
faith; and that not of
yourselves: it is
the gift of God: not of works lest any
man should boast."--Eph 2:8-9 Amen
---Grace is not of ourselves, it's God's
gift for us, Jesus doing at the cross
what we could not do for ourselves,
reconciling us to God. It's only through
Jesus that we can come to God. Amen
---Through faith in Jesus (a.k.a. grace,
God's gift), you are saved!!!
#2 "But without faith it is
impossible to please Him: for he
that cometh to God must believe that
He is, and that He is a rewarder of them
that diligently seek Him"--Heb 11:6
---Can you please God without
faith?
---In Hebrews 11 we read of a
great cloud of witnesses who through
faith obtained promises and many other
things, even Heaven by faith (vs
8-10; 13-16) Will God reward Heaven to
people with no faith?
#3 "Who are kept by the power of God
through faith unto salvation
ready to
be revealed in the last time." 1Pet
1:5
---If you break off faith, you
break off salvation. (Rom
11:17-24)
---He that endureth to the
end shall be saved. (Matt 10:22;
24:13)
---Jesus shall appear the second time
without sin unto salvation (Heb
9:28)
*****Matt 8:11-12; 22:1-13;
24:45-51; 25:14-30*****
CONCLUSION
Romans 5:1 says that we are justified by
_____
People often misquote 2
Timothy 2:12-13 and therefore get
assured of this false security in cheap
grace. They say,"If we deny Him, yet He
abideth faithful, for He cannot deny
Himself" But the Holy Scripture really
says, "If suffer, we shall also reign
with Him: if we deny Him, He also
will deny us: If we believe not,
yet He abideth faithful: He cannot deny
Himself"
The greek word here for deny is 720:
arneomai= to deny someone, one's self,
to disregard his own interests or to
prove himself false; to act entirely
unlike himself
If we believe not(don't have faith, it
doesn't stop God from being faithful to
all those who will believe!!) If you
don't believe anymore you can't help
nobody, but God is not like you, you
take your hand away but His arm
faithfully stays stretched out to save
all who will!!! Like Jesus told Thomas, be not faithless but faithful(believing)
He that hath ears to hear,
let him hear!
