| TZ Cast Tragedies & Untimely Deaths
ACCIDENTS:
- Larry Blyden, killed in an auto crash in Morocco in 1975.
- Sheridan Comerate, killed in a plane crash in New Jersey in 1973.
- Terrence DeMarney, killed in a subway fall in London in 1971.
- Thomas Gomez, killed in an auto crash in 1971; just after losing a tremendous amount of weight.
- Theodore Marcuse, killed in an auto crash while driving drunk in Los Angeles in 1967.
- Jay Overholts, killed in an auto crash in Los Angeles when hit head-on by another driver in 1966. The other driver was charged with vehicular homicide.
- John Pickard, killed in an animal attack in 1993.
- Frank Silvera, accidentally electrocuted in a household accident in 1970.
- Joan Sudlow, died from injuries suffered in a fall in 1970.
MURDERS:
- Bob Crane, blungeoned to death in 1978 in a hotel room by a friend.
- Jenny Maxwell, shot with her husband in a robbery in 1981 in Los Angeles.
SUICIDES:
- Stanley Adams, shot himself to death in 1977 following a long battle with depression.
- Maggie McNamara, took an overdose of sleeping pills in 1978 following a couple of decades of severe depression. The TZ episode was her last filmed acting role.
- Albert Salmi, shot his wife and himself in 1990. Apparently, his wife was terminally ill and he killed her to end her misery and he didn't want to live without her.
- Everett Sloane, took an overdoes of sleeping pills in 1965 after he learned he was going blind.
- Inger Stevens, took an overdose of sleeping pills in 1970 following a couple of decades of severe depression.
- Frank Wolff, slit his throat with a razor in a hotel room in Italy in 1971.
- Gig Young, shot his wife and himself in 1978. He also had been prone to severe depression.
