Obviously, I overanalyze and am not afraid to share my opinions, and a lot of the time, I'm full of shit. But hey, I'm not the only one. Maybe there is no reality, just a bunch of idiosyncratic viewpoints that together make up a shared experience that we sometimes refer to as the human condition. So right here, right now, I'm here to talk about it.
Obviously, again, I'm not the first, and I won't be the last. Nor will there be enough time in my lifetime or yours, or any individual's, to experience everything, so we have to cheat a little, thru archtypes, prototypes, stereotypes, cliches, legends, myths, fables...you get the idea. We ain't gonna figure it all out in one lifetime, so we're heavily dependent on the information that's been passed down to us.
On this page, I hope to start a small forum for some of this information, particularly in the form of quotes. Maybe one of these days I'll get around to alphebetizing them or something...but for now I'm just starting. Feel free to email me any submissions; I'd be happy to look at them. But don't ever expect this to be thorough. For in the words of Roy Porter in "The Greatest Benefit to Mankind," "The historical record is like the night sky: we see a few stars and group them into mythic constellations. But what is chiefly visible is the darkness."
