Top Ten Points of Interest as of 1/7/03
(these are in the order I came up with them)
)System of a Down -- I'm starting to develop a healthy obsession with this band, and I must say that I'm deeply moved by their political voice and the way their website reflects that. Check out their links section too.
)Salvia Divinorum Legislation -- I think it's an atrocity what they're trying to do to this potentially beautiful and healing plant, so I'm leaving this link up. Go to curesnotwars.comfor more info.
)Medstudentlinx.com -- This site has damn good information...and a medical dictionary comparable to anything else you're gonna find online
)"Now Corporations Claim the Right to Lie" -- Fascinating article I stumbled upon this morning...::sighs:: we all knew Jefferson had the right idea.
)www.silentlambs.com -- So...uhhh...how many webpages do you actually find out there to give rape victims a voice instead of patronize us?
)American Civil Liberties Union -- Cmon, the least these guys deserve is continuous free advertising ;0)
)Adam's House of Pipes in Coconut Grove -- This dude offered me a job at his shop...turn down the volume of the cheesy music, but some of the pieces are really exquisite
)Axis of Justice -- Read and weep
)George Carlin -- Yeah, my site is pretty heavy. Take a breather. Oh, great quote from him that I just put up on my wall: "All music is blues. All of it."
)Steve Vai -- I'm so sick of these fucking rockstars who pull the "five chord wonder" and then get their contracts and get all the girls swooning. FUCK THAT. I've been playing since I was 7, and I'm almost 20 now, so I think I can hold my own...but Vai is one of those rare geniuses who almost makes me want to put my guitar down forever and weep...except he reminds me that it can be done
