Hard Rock Hotel and Casino

As a matter of fact, I forgot all about it being there! Why? Well, it is not on the famous Las Vegas Strip. My parent's went to Vegas last year, and went to Hard Rock. I got to hear about it and see a tape of it though, and it is another on my list that I want to go see. Before you get into the casino, there are 2 display cases. One of Jimmy Hendrix, and one of Aerosmith. When you first walk into Hard Rock, there is all kinds of memorabilia. From Elvis's jump suit's to Jimmy Hendrix's guitar, and jackets'. There are glass cases with other outfits, and guitars from some other singers, past and present. Along one wall, there is a glass case just with Beatles stuff. Old lunchboxes, dolls, Beatle's hairspray, shoes, even a Beatle's game, you name it, somehow they found it! They even have some special slot machines in there. What exactly do I mean by special slot machines? How about a Jimmy Hendrix slot machine, Purple Haze, complete with a guitar as the handle? All over the walls, there are guitar's with brass plates, with who it belong's too on it. There is great music playing all the time too.

New York New York

From the Statue of Liberty, Times Square, Ellis Island Deli, to the Brooklyn Bridge, it's all there! They even have a rollar coaster out front that works it's way on the track through part of the hotel! Another that I haven't seen, but another on the list that I want to get too. Sorry I can't tell you to much on this one, I'll try to get some info on it and report it back to you.

Luxor

Also another addition to the strip, The Luxor. The pyramid constructed casino. Once you step foot in this place, you can't help but look up right away! The hotel rooms are surrounding you on the wide open floor. Talk about some vaulted ceilings! The casino floor is down a flight of stairs as soon as you walk in. Take an escalator up, and you will find some great buffet's, game rooms, a Nile ride, and much much more! We were there around one in the morning, and there wasn't too much going on in there it seemed. My husband and I were also tired, and we only played the slots there, after all. We had been up for over 24 hours. After all, we were getting married the next evening!

MGM Grand

MGM Grand. Now, don't get this confused with Bally's. Did you know that Bally's use to be called MGM? There was a fire on November 21, 1980. That is when Bally's took over ownership. After that fire, all the hotel and casino's had a whole new code to follow, making it safer for all their visitors. The theme at the NEW MGM is movies, obviously. It is also obvious from your first step in the door. You can't help but noticing the green glow from Emerald City. Dorothy, Scarecrow, Lion, Tin man, the Wicked Witch, and her monkeys' are all there. Toto too!!

Michael Crawford's EFX is showing in the theatre. This is suppose to be an AMAZING show. It is about your imagination, and where it can take you. If anyone wants to fill me in, send me a review on the show, I'll submit it to my page. Author included. =)

How about an amusement park to keep all the kids busy? You'll find one here. It is all indoors, kept at an cool air conditioned temperature. If you want to stay away from the kids, maybe you should not stay too long here, they are everywhere. At least they were when we were there!

Aladdin

In November of 1997 they decided to close up the Aladdin. Just like I have been saying, to become bigger and better. If you want people to come to the hotel, you have to do something BIG and exciting now. In May of 1998, the blew up the shell of the Aladdin. Did you know that Elvis got married there in 1967? It's been there awhile. Who knows how long this one will take, but it will be interesting to see how they try to compete with the construction going up right down the road at the.......

Bellagio

This picture was taken on May 6th of this year. This new construction is located on Las Vegas Boulevard and Flamingo Road. This shot was snapped from the top of the Aladdin. Looks pretty impressive so far, don't you think?? Steve Wynn, who owns Treasure Island, Mirage and also just bought the Holiday Inn Boardwalk, which is right behind the Bellagio, owns the Bellagio. Can't wait to see this one and what it has to offer us.

Well, that is all I have for you for now. I try to get on here and update often, but I loaded first aid for win 95 in my pc, and it just doesn't seem to agree with editing my page.
