Dreams of War

Do you have a story or peom you would like to see on our site us at Anime@hotmail.com. It should be at least more then to paragraphs or you can also give your ideas for Dreams of War: Chaper 2. Either way I will read it over ASAP and add it to the site.

Chapter 1

7 years before the new Council of Genesis was formed, two Nations where at war. the Dark and the Graan. The Darkens out-numbered the Graanlins by a large percent and ended up wiping off at least half of the Graan race. The Graans soon had no defense agains the Darken, they could only pray and hope for a miracle. The Graan Army (GA) tried to force all men of each family to fight in the war. Whoever refused would be punished until they agreed. Eventually one Graan family had, had enough of the fight and didn’t want to be involved in the battle any longer. The father of the family, Raliko Lexus, had fallen very sick and couldn’t protect his wife or children. The Lexus family had heard rumors of men even being killed for not helping in the fight. The Graan government was starting to feel that who couldn’t help were not needed. 
	<indent>The family did not want to Raliko to die and had feared for his life. Eighteen year old Kiaka, the oldest of the three children had involved herself in space travel technology (STT). She worked as an engineer’s assistant who was in the process of building a new spacecraft. The ship was called the Nekomus, a prototype for a new battleship the Graan could use against the Dark. Kiaka was not aware of this, and she wouldn’t have since it’s purpose was a secret. She had thought the ship was being built as a normal space shuttle. Kiako took her family and lead them into the Nekomus after dark when everyone either had left for home or war. From there they took of and flew from the planet Genesis and planned to never come back.

The next day on Genesis, the war had become fiercer. The Dark had killed off all of the front line of the Graan army and were moving in even closer to the city of Graan. GA had finally reached an “Alert 5 Critical”, they needed to resort to the secret weapon, Nekomus. Unknown to them, the Nekomus had been stolen. They no time to build another one since it was a 5 years project. The finish version of Nekomus would have enough fire power to wipe out half an army in one shot. The X31 canon was 85% finished and was unstable. The Graan now had no chance against the Dark. In less then a month, the entire race of Graanlins were either killed or imprisoned.

7 years had past since the Lexus family had traveled 300 light-years from Genesis and had found a new life. The day was Thursday, 9-9-4999. It was Jyna’s 8th birthday and everyone was happy. Naiko was looking forward to his birthday in two weeks. He had loved his new life on Exodus and hardly could remember his old life on Genesis. Naiko didn’t want to remember the war and the bloodshed. He was now 13 and began working as an apprentice for HuuMu’, an old monk who lived at the main Exodian temple.
Kiaka also loved her new home. She had now become more acquainted with the Nekomus and learned to pilot it better after flying it for the first 5 months in inner & outer space. Kiaka also acquired help from the local engineers and scientist who volunteered to modify the Nekomus to fit her likes and needs. She added a bathroom in the back and turned the science labs into bedrooms. Nekomus’s battle mode was no longer needed. The main guns, missile-set, shock-system and X31 were disconnected and stored away, because Kiaka didn’t want to have anything to do with weapons and destruction. The whole family was happy, including Raliko and his wife Sarami, they were proud to have three wonderful children that have gain such successful and happy lives.
	One night the unthinkable had occurred. A clan of Kilaa’s had wondered into the town and began raiding houses and killing livestock. Everyone was in danger and known could stop the Kilaas. A Kilaa was only 3 feet tall, but they were fast like wolfs and had teeth like tigers, but at least they were not very intelligent. That night a Kilaa had broke through Raliko and Sarami’s room window. Naiko heard the crash of glass and ran to see what was wrong. He slowly peek into his parents door and was stunned to see the Kilaa standing on his father. In a desperate attempt to help his father, Naiko pick up a table lamp next to him and hurled it at the monster. The creature roared in pain and turned to see the teenage boy. Naiko froze in fright at the gruesome sight standing before him. At first he hesitated, his feet felt like they were stuck in cement. Soon he finally could move, he turned and ran down the hall. The Kilaa chased after Naiko then turned when he had seen something of more interest. Naiko had not realized the monster had stopped chasing him until he heard a familiar scream. Naiko’s heart stopped, and he turned to see that Jyna ‘s door had been broken down. He stormed back down the hall and turn into his sister’s room. The Kilaa picked up Jyna into his arms and began to head to the room’s window. Naiko jumped at the creature, but the animal heard him coming and it just kicked him back. Naiko hit the floor hard. He looked up to see the Kilaa smash out the window taking Jyna with him. Tears ran down the cheeks of Naiko before he slowly fell unconscious. 
	The next mourning Kiaka came home to find glass and blood covering the floor. She feared the worst. Kiaka ran down the hallway and peered into each room, looking for her family. She reached the fisrt room, her parents room. She turned and looked into the door. Kiaka couldn’t help herself, she screamed until her lungs hurt. She fell to her knees and cried. Suddenly she felt a something touch her shoulder. It was the hand of her younger brother, Naiko. Kiaka and Naiko embraced and stood there in sorrow. Naiko finally spoke, “Jyna’s gone”, he said softly. Kiaka look down then turned and ran out the house. Naiko walked into his parents room and walk to his father lifeless corpse and knelt down beside it. He took his father’s necklace from around his neck and look at the pendant. It was half of a blue crystal. Naiko look across at her mother’s body and saw the other half around her neck. He took the blue crystal from the necklace and fitted the two pieces together. Naiko stood to his feet and said, “I never forget you mom & dad...I swear I your death won’t be in vain, those monsters will pay.” With those words Naiko ran out of the house and followed behind his sister.
	Naiko moved in with Kiaka on the Nekomus. They both traveled away from the tribe they had once called home and headed to the “Forest of Kull”. They resided there for a few nights, but soon grown tired of it. Naiko suggested that they stay with HuuMu’ at the temple. He had welcomed Naiko to come any time and stay for all his good work. The brother and sister agreed and headed to the temple the next mourning. 
	HuuKu’ was in the middle of prayer when suddenly he heard a terribly loud roar. Huuku’ jumped to his feet and ran around the temple yelling, “THE WORLD IS COMING TO AN END!!” He stopped and looked out the window to see the huge spacecraft, Nekomus. HuuMu’ turn around embarrassed as all the other monks steered at him in amusement. He walked out the room displeased and aggravated. “In heaven’s name, what were you trying to do...kill me”, the small monk yelled up at the two looking down from the cockpit of the vehicle. Soon the thrusters slowly lost power, allowing the ship to lower to the ground. Finally a hatch was opened and a ladder slid down side of the ship. Kiaka and Niako climb down a greeted HuuMu’ and the other monks. HuuMu’ had noticed that something was not right, Naiko was not his usual jovial self, but HuuMu’ did not mention anything, he felt he should mind his own business. This would not be the same for another person. Kaleen, a young apprentice like Naiko, ran towards the group and yelled, “Naiko, Naiko, long time no see! How you been? Uh, Uh, wait.... Why do you look so mad, what’s wrong.” Naiko just became angrier and soon he pushed through the crowed and ran to the temple. Kaleen just looked confused and could only say, “what’s wrong with him”.
	That night HuuMu’ knelt before the “Great Flames of Life” and began meditating. Naiko slowly walked into the room and also knelt before the fire. HuuMu’ began to speak, “Kiaka told me what happened.”. “I thought you were meditating”, Naiko said sarcastically. Then his voice simmered to a whisper, “But she doesn’t know the whole story... HuuMu’ teach me how to fight... like a zeata samurai.”
HuuMu’ was at full attention now. “What?, a zeata ....now what would want you be a fighter of such rank rather a fighter at all”. “HuuMu’ what I’m about to say is to be kept secret...ok”, Niako said. “Okay”, HuuMu’ responded. “When the Kilaa’s broke into our house and killed mom & dad, I was there...I could of helped them, but I froze. Kiaka thinks I was out in the fields and thats why I couldn’t help. If I was brave and strong... Maybe my parents would still be alive. Maybe Jyna would still be here, the Kilaa probably kill her by now also.” HuuMu stood to his feet and look down at Niaka. He extended his arm and touched Niako head. Suddenly the Great Flames died and the room blacked-out. Niako soon feel into a room with red lamps lining the walls. Naiko relized that he was now wearing an all white uniform. A familiar voice came out of the shadows, “Your training begins now, you will need a weapon. You will start out as a neagi fighter”. A strange light appeared through the darkness. Soon a weird looking tool floated towards Naiko. “HuuMu’, is that you? What is this thing? Couldn’t I have gotten a laser-canon or maybe one of those shock-rifle.” HuuMu’ walked out of the darkness and into the light where he could be seen then he responded, “That is called a sword, it is a primitive weapon from the ancient days of Exodus. The greatest warriors of time used these, before technology took over and guns were invented.” Naiko look confused. “Umm, but how do I you it, were do the bullets go?” HuuMu’ slapped himself and said, “This is going to take a while.”
	Three years had past and Naiko had finished his first and second stage of training. He was a neon fighter, 1 more step away from a zeata samurai. Naiko had learned a tremendous amount in such a very short time. It took many master samurai many years to learn what Naiko had learned. The shortest time it took besides Naiko was 8 years to reach neon, while it only took him 3. The monks of the temple were awestruck, they had never in the life had seen anyone like Naiko before. The only one who was not surprised was HuuMu’, he know why Naiko was the way he was. He knew that his hatred for the Kilaas was the main thing pushing Naiko, he wanted revenge fast even if he had to push himself to the limit. Naiko also help in the temple a great deal. He had trained under the local blacksmith and now he could make new tools, utencils, and weapons for the people of the temple and the nearbering towns. Naiko had also become more accustomed to the sword. He had found books on ancient blades and soon he designed and made his own sword. He used the strongest metals and materials he had. Raliko had once said that the blue crystal he wore around his neck brought him good luck. Naiko cut the crystals to perfection and added them to the blade as well. Naiko’s finally finish his new weapon after 6 months and it was strong yet beautiful and it was his best work. Naiko named it Jyna Blade, after his sister. Naiko took his sword and lifted it to the sky as the two sun’s rays made and sword’s crystals glisten. Naiko spoke and said, “ In one month I’ll be ready...In two months the Kilaa’s will be dead.
