- Clove: Chew to relieve the pain of a toothache
- Fennel: Drink as a tea to help get rid of gas
- Cayenne: Mix with an oil or lotion and rub on sore spots. Helps relieve muscle aches, and helps heal bruises
- Parsley: Chew as a breath freshener (if you're desperate..it tastes awful!)
- Ginger: Take to prevent/calm motion sickness
- Anise: An antacid
- Basil: Lowers high blood-pressure
- Caraway: Aids digestion
- Cinnamon: A very mild stimulant
- Garlic: An antibiotic. Also, lowers high blood pressure
- Marjorum: Relieves tension headaches, or use as a mouthwash for toothaches
- Allspice: Treats Indigestion
- Dill: Relieves gas and colic
- Mustard: stimulant, induces vomiting
- Rosemary: Laxative, reduces swelling, lowers fever
- Thyme: Apply to skin as antibacterial or to stop bleeding
- Turmeric: Stimulant, expectorant, pain reliever
