A capacity crowd at the Target Center looked on as Jeff Jarrett attempted to win two titles from D'Lo Brown. Jarrett shocked the crowd when he sent Debra back to the ring just after coming out, but the Intercontinental and European Champion appeared next, and he had Debra with him! After D'Lo missed an aerial move from the top rope, Debra jumped on the apron and Jarrett grabbed his guitar. It looked like Jarrett was going to hit Debra with the guitar, but Mark Henry came out and stole the instrument away. As the referee was distracted, "Sexual Chocolate" nailed D'Lo with the guitar! Jarrett made the cover, and won both titles! Henry, Jarrett and Debra embraced after the match, showing that they were apparently working together the entire time!

The Tag Team Turmoil Match was up next. Six tag teams drew numbers, and the first two started off. When one team was eliminated, another came down until only one team remained. That team would be declared No. 1 contenders for the Tag Team Championship. It was Edge and Christian drawing the first number, with the Hardy Boyz second. After Christian pinned Matt Hardy with a top rope splash, Mideon and Viscera entered the contest as the third team. Edge pinned Mideon after a spear, and it was Droz and Prince Albert up next. Edge and Christian did it again, as Edge pinned Prince Albert after a Downward Spiral. But the brothers were not able to survive against the fresh Acolytes. Bradshaw finished off Christian with the Clothesline from Hell. Crash and Hardcore Holly were the final competitors in the match. The Road Dogg joined Jim Ross and Jerry "The King" Lawler for commentary during the Hardcore Title Match between Al Snow and Big Boss Man. Boss Man recently promised to squash Pepper, so Al left his new buddy backstage to protect him. As the match got underway, Road Dogg grabbed a microphone and played "roving reporter," following the two superstars as they battled through the back, across the street, and into a nearby restaurant! Boss Man got into Road Dogg's face, and the D-O-double G retaliated with a nightstick to the back of the head. With that assist, Snow was able to get the pin (on a pool table) and regain the Hardcore Championship! Snow sprinted back to the arena to find The Blue Meanie and Stevie Richards doing something with Pepper. Snow annihilated them both, using a crutch from an injured guy backstage.

In a "Love Her or Leave Her Greenwich Street Fight," Test took on Shane McMahon. Pete Gas (wearing a neck brace), Rodney (with a cast over his arm) and Joey Abs (with his foot in a cast) took a seat on a couch at ringside as the match got underway. The Mean Street Posse handed Shane various objects to clobber Test with - including a street sign and a framed photo of the Posse, which Shane shattered over Test's head. Later the Posse triple-teamed Test, and placed him on the Spanish announcer's table. Shane jumped off the top rope down on to Test, breaking through the table! The Posse continued to interfere until Pat Patterson and Gerry Brisco made a surprise return and clobbered Rodney and Pete Gas with the street sign. After a pumphandle powerslam, Test pinned the "Boy Wonder!" Free from her brother's interference at last, Stephanie ran from the back and embraced her boyfriend.

X-Pac and Kane faced the biggest challenge yet for their Tag Team Titles as they took on Undertaker and the Big Show. As Kane and Undertaker battled outside the ring, the Big Show chokeslammed X-Pac. But Big Show covered X-Pac arrogantly, and the Minneapolis native kicked out. Undertaker was irate at the Big Show's pinfall attempt, and the Lord of Darkness tagged himself in. The most powerful referee in World Wrestling Federation history, Jesse "The Body" Ventura, made his way to the ring as the main event got underway. Mankind found himself outside the ring, and Chyna went after him. While "The Body" scolded the "Ninth Wonder of the World," Triple H went after Austin's already weak knee, slamming a steel chair against it! Later, Chyna interfered again, and this time Ventura ordered her back to the locker room. Triple H tested Ventura's authority a bit later by clobbering Mankind with a steel chair right in front of him, but "The Body" refused to make the count. Shane McMahon sprinted from the back and got in Ventura's face, admonishing him for not making the count. The Rattlesnake came from behind and stunned the "Boy Wonder," and then Ventura picked him up and tossed him out of the ring.
