Today I sit and look at the walls,
Feeling no one out there loves me at all,
Meet people on line everyday,
Stay for awhile and then drift away,
But none of them are truly real,
For no one tells, the feelings that they feel….
One day some time ago,
You came to speak to me,
And made my heart all a glow,
There were visions of long ago,
Together our hearts soared,
But all has faded and all is gone,
For you were never real, and time moves on….
I see no reason for all the hurt and pain,
No more will my heart open, no never again,
For lessons learned and pain felt,
No more will I open to the hurt that is dealt,
Wishes and dreams won’t make it go away,
It comes with the rising of the sun each day….
For all of the day my heart is so sad,
And with the setting sun,
Freedom of sleep may be had,
Come no more with the hurt you bring,
I seek no company from one who dreams,
For Life is for living,
And dreams won’t change that…
And death will knock,
At the drop of a hat,
So my friend, I dream no more,
For all the dreams have closed the door,
I seek just Peace and Soar no more,
For Love and hurt has burnt my wings,
I look no more for any of these things….
