Sometime ago, our Paths crossed,
Would I have spoken, if known of the loss,
The hurt and sorrow that would come to follow,
The brightness and joy you brought to my life,
And then, the emptiness that made me hollow…..
Yes, I have no doubt,
I would have spoken, and played this out,
For truly I have gained much more than I lost,
And in looking back at a very small cost…..
For what you have done is awaken my sleeping soul,
For over the years my heart had grown cold,
With light and love and the touch of your words,
The true me awakened to come out to be heard….
To learn, to teach, to help others along the way,
Makes the brightness of each passing day,
My Spirit soars, my soul is bright,
I see all in a very new light….
When your words stopped, I thought I would die,
How could you do this, how could you lie?
Why would you bring brightness,
Then throw me to darkness again?
The time was not right,
You were not ready somehow,
So I will move on down the road for a while,
To hold hurt and pain from you,
Makes me totally stand still,
No movement at all, it may make me fall…..
On my Path of Life,
I can’t give you that right,
For there is much to be done,
Many rising and setting suns….
This message to you My Friend,
Know that I love you right to the end,
You have my heart forever and a day,
For I know it was suppose to be that way,
And one more thing I have to say,
You are forgiven in everyway…..
