I’d like to depict the infinity of your dreams,
on my flesh-coloured canvas.
The brushstrokes, intricate and delicate,
much like the borders dividing us,
My love.
The cast of hues intermingle,
creating a majestic loftiness of spirit,
and a spectrum of splendor,
much like I feel when I listen,
to your laughter,
My love.
I slide my fingers through the acrylic,
fusing those careless colours, smiling.
Just as I would in my dreams of
running my fingers through your hair,
My love.
I add water to the pigments and make it rain,
a saturation of sublime rapture,
Much like I feel,
when you shower me with your affection,
My love.
Done, I sit across the piece and stare.
With the remnants of the acrylic on my clothes,
Much like your scent that never leaves me,
after sleeping on your pillow,
My love.
It is hung, this rainbow of your soul,
and I bask in the beams of glory it exhibits.
Much like I relish the rays,
of your glistening smile,
and vivid essence,
My love.
